Littlemschatabox that is horrible, I don't know how people who do that can live with themselves. I reallly hope they had the tesco shopping delivered to their house so they can be traced/ caught.
Not sure if it's been mentioned but I got silicone Christmas Tree ice cube moulds (makes 10 at a time) in poundland today. They were with baking and not christmas.
YAYAYAYAY the christmas shop in town is now open.......I was very good and didn't go in.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Afternoon everyone, not been on for a while with half term being here and can't believe there are so many pages to catch up on!
Got my M&S Xmas Tree Tin this morning, one for my mum as well, the kids were with me so no doubt she will here about it before I give it to her. Had a mooch around Wilko's they have some really lovely xmas stuff, admired the wrapping paper in M&S but can only buy when the kids aren't with me, but loving the craft paper reindeer styles that are about. Got some lovely twine for the Snowman soup bags, red and white. Still didn't have time to mooch around primark home bit, but have booked a couple of Xmas shopping days off work, so will hope ther eis stuff left. Managed to get my DD1 her Xmas PJ's from Isme - red and white with reindeers on. It looks so snuggly and warm.
Bought myself some mince pies and christmas log, so will enjoy this afternoon with a nice mug of hot choc. Weather is freezing and grey so should warm me up nicely.
DD2 birthday party on Sunday, so spending today and tomorrow, baking fairy cakes and making sausage rolls. By next week will be full Xmas mode!0 -

Ah well, at least I am home at my mum & dads and they are cheering me upbless them!
Glad you've finally got it sorted. My bank froze my account once because they were concerned I'd used a cash machine which may have been dodgy. Thing is, they didn't inform me until I rang them asking why my card had been declined in a few shops. They'd already cancelled my cards on my behalf and left me without any money for 10 days whilst I waited for my new card and PIN to arrive
Hope they catch whoever did it. I reckon Tesco should take a policeman if they deliver/collect the order:D Mind you, you'd have to be pretty stooooopid to use someone else's account then have it delivered. Surely Tesco can trace it to a time/shop and check cctv. Call Inspector Frost0 -
Oh Oh Oh Brainwave. :j
Saw a gift in Marks on Wed and it has been playing on my mind.
I am going to do my own version for about half the price.
Silicone loaf tin.
Bag of bread mix ( put in my Ikea Santa bags) with instructions.
Some sun dried tomatoes or similar .
Nice tag saying ' USE YOUR LOAF'
Back to work now.:(0 -
Hi Everyone, thanks for all the great bargains and ideas. I've been shopping today and feels like I have driven miles to get to all the shops.
I got two christmas hand towels in Dunelm. There were so many lovely things, I could have spent a fortune. I got three of the M & S xmas tree tins for us and my grandparents and some cherry liquors for my Mil.
I also popped in to Tesco and got 4 of the 1/2 price gift sets for my mum, mil, brother, and DS. And I got 2 dvds in the £5 bogof for my dad.
I didn't need any but I saw some sour candy canes in Waitrose today. There were 8 for i think £1.20 in case anyone would like a change from the traditional ones.
Its been such a busy day and I went with DS who is 20 months and thankfully was brilliant the whole time so we are sat with some chocolate and a cup of tea now.0 -
Hi All
after a bit of advice!
I also, Like Chirpy chick really want to get a coffee machine, probably the tassimo t40, on tescos direct at the mo they are about 1/2 price and with the voucher exchange i could probably get it for free, but my question is to do with Morrisons taking exchanged tesco vouchers.
1. what do you have to do, do you go to the customer sevice desk in morrisons and exchange them, or just take them to the till?
2. do all check out staff know about this offer/arrangement..just our M is always busy and have being held up by akward people like me!
Maybe one of you lovely people works for M's and might be able to help..or the person who orginally posted about this..sorry cant remember who it was as it was quite a few pages back!
I was thinking of getting the tassimo from T's and then the pods from M's effectivley getting £35 worth of free pods...what do you all reacon, and do any of you have any experiance of this machine?
Thank you all in advance!0 -
Just had a look at the festive fivers comp thread again. Pleased to see you've submitted your choc slab idea OMO.
Think I might have a go at making wine glass charms. I've a box of beads under the spare bed from my jewellery making days so would just need the wires (think the wire I've got would be too thin and not sturdy enough) Would be perfect gifts to pop in the post or go with a bottle of wine0 -

Saw this Bob the Builder toy on offer from £14.99 to £4.99, there is £2.99 p&p but it still means it's roughly half price:

I thought it might be useful for someone with children.
Also, chirpychick, I remember you talked about getting a coffee machine, i'm not sure where you're at with that, you may have said on here but as I said i'm behind so thought i'd post this link in case it might be useful:

Hope the links work and everyone is well! Will try to catch up now.
Thank you for the link, I am so confused about what to do regarding the coffee maker lol I really want to get one, but I don't know if hubs would prefer one like you have suggested (which I do like and can get a few different types of coffee fairly cheaply to go alongside it) or one like a tassimo machine where he can have a variety like latte, cappucino etc and i can use the hot choc facility. I really like the one you have linked to! Have never used that website though is it safe and everything?
any opinions anyonechirpychick what size is the beanbag im looking for one like that for my 14 year old daughter so when her friends stay they can use it to sleep on do you think it would be big enough?
I could have easily slept on it last night LOL it is so cosy im in love! However it's not really big enough length wise if you were to lay it flat. There are measurements on the website but its in human words about the size of a double width ways and im 5'7 and so it would maybe sleep a small person upto 5'3/4 without feet hanging off the edge, though please check the measurements and dont take my word for it solely! It is so comfy though!Everything is always better after a cup of tea0 -
Hi everyone, hope everyone s well.
Went to The Range today(first time I've ever been) loved all the stuff in the Christmas aisles. Got a Merry Christmas doormat for £1.99 I think. Was looking at the stockings but didn't get one yet. Resisted buying any more decorations (up to now anyway, could have gone mad if we had the cash)
Also went in B&M but didn't really look as OH was moaning. Nearly bought the bowls to match the Christmas plates we got from there last year but didn't (will send my sister to buy them from near her haha, that way he won't know, I want the matching cups as well even though we already have 4 Christmas cups)13 projects in 2013 0/130 -
Thank you. I have just pre-ordered it from tesco using my clubcard double up vouchers so even cheaper
Still need suggestions of where to get xmas silicone moulds and cellophane from as i'm looking and it will cost over £10 before chocolate! Surely that's not the idea
The Range have Christmas chocolate molds in i think they were £1-99.
Ive bought a small flexi basket in red for my Christmas eve hamper , a savings tin for next year and a table cloth and plates today. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
