Newbie here, been lurking and it's too two weeks to read through all posts!! Wish I'd found you sooner.
I'm a wife and mum of one little boy who is 2, we are having christmas at home this year for the first time ever and that coupled with my son starting to understand christmas I'm super excited!!
Nearly done all presents for DS haven't paid full price for anything used discount codes and offers for it all.
Haven't started my main shopping for family as yet don't do that till first weekend in dec when OH gets his bonus got my list sorted though.
Started getting little bits, today I got the kids wrapping paper from the hallmark outlet store for £1 a roll.
Ordered a christmas bedding set from H&M for DS and some lovely tree decs I used codes - 0230 for 25% off one item and then 1304 for £5 off you can use them together saved my self £8!
I'm doing the elf on the shelf thing going to do a hamper on 1st dec for DS with elf, advent calander, Xmas bedding and some chocs for him then we will all watch polar express and put the tree up!!
welcome!! you are certainly one of us, that all sounds wonderful! it's just brilliant when they are toddlers, so many fantastic things to do with them at that age on the build up, look forward to hearing what you are planning to buy
thanks for the H&M code, need to go have a look there0 -
its my dd1's 16th bday today! so not much xmas stuff going on really (though i got dh some instant vanilla coffee for his stocking and i found some different kinds of sprinkles for the top of coffee and hot chocolate.. so i got the cinnamon/ vanilla one to test) Also grabbed some brandy butter and baileys butter.. use by is jan next year so will be ok for xmas
Just made some chocolate tarts... was meant to be one but i've made too much chocolate custard (naughty custard, single cream, whole milk, chocolate and eggs) so i now have 3 cooking lol oops. dd1 didn't want the fancy cake i was planning so we're adapting them, with revels and sprinkles and candles on top lol.Totally debt free wohooo 2014

have just got my best christmas bargain - even if the items are second hand!
My ds is obsessed with skylanders - and as computer game people know the companies love making miney from them - for those that dont know it is a game with a portal, which you buy characters and then place them on the protal and they appear on your game - game costs around £50/60 and figures from £8 upwards- and as usual you have rare ones ect.
Ds got 1st game for his b'day in august and he does love it (used amazon vouchers from surveys to pay for it!!!) and have got 12 out of the 32 figures
they have now realsed a new one for xmas - going to get ds it (again with vouchers), but he was still missing lots form the first game - a friend of mine decided to sell a few of hers and i managed to get £120 worth of figures(some still new and boxed) for £60!!!! Ds will be so pleased, and i get to get creative and make a hamper out of it all as some figures are unboxed - now off to hunt out a box/wrapping/cellophane ect....if lexie stays asleep!!!!!0 -
I am struggling to keep up with you all
I have got the kiddies little presents, and am going to get them a balance bike each. I have done my nieces, the grandparents (except a nice pic of the kiddies).
I have a couple of secret santas I'm in that haven't been decided yet, so dont know who am buying for. Also have a couple of friends children to buy for (well 5 actually, but only token gifts). Then I will get my friend something, she's been a real support to me since I lost my hubby, and I want to let her know I appreciate it. Plus my old granny. I will get her some crisps, lol. And some mackiesons. It's what she likesBossymoo

his_missus wrote: »OMO - I've worked with children the austic spectrum in the past. One girl I supported had a target to understand metaphoric phrases and not take them literally. There isn't enough understanding. A friend who has a son with Aspergers gets him to wear a t-shirt when they go out to busy places/airport etc which says something like "I'm not naughty, I have Aspergers" or something similar.
My cousins 5 year old son has one of those, and badges. Ds couldn't understand why he wanted everyone knowing. He hates strangers knowing, as he says they talk to him really slow and funny. He also doesn't think there is anything wrong with him. It's all of us that are strange.Moneysavingwebby wrote: »Hi all,

Could find who asked the question, but Marks aren't putting their books out. They are at the tills. Just go and ask.
It is only the free paper Christmas TV guides that have TBA. All the bought ones have a full listing.0 -

have just finished uploading cds onto laptop/itunes. gonna spend tonight loading them onto kids mp3's so i can wrap them up tomorrow, and theyre ready to go xmas day! only problem is, why i had itunes open i couldnt resist listening to mr bubles christmas album, and although its very early still, it really is beginning to look a lot like christmas (or sound like it anyways!!!) :rudolf:It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0
