  • Thankyou. :) It was today and went well I think. Possibly doing a swap and we liked her flat and she liked mine so just need to really think hard about it as it will be a whole new area and new school for DS. :)

New area, did you check out the shops? :D

 I have just done the final update on my seasonal spreadsheet - I have saved £1208.10 from the RRP of all the gifts I have bought this year for an actual cash spend of £50.30. I have made that back from ebay and am frankly astonished.

This is why I shop early and why my DH needs to stop harassing me for being obsessed. If he starts it up again I shall tell him he owes me a grand for my time and I'll bill him if he doesn't button his lip.
Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
    Three gifts left to buy
  • P.P.S Lol Im wearing my new winter boots for the first time and they just look awful! They're so chunky and make my feet look HUGE! Oh well will just have to put up with it unless I want to wear flat pumps and get frostbite on holiday! :rotfl:

Is it just because you're looking down on them? You know how that distorts perception! I'm sure they don't look that big to other people! :rotfl:

I am soooo glad it's the weekend. As I'm still not sleeping that well. :( And I am so tired.

They is so much going on in my head. One minute I'm all excited about starting up, then I'm a nervous wreck wondering what I have done.

I spent just over £50 today on stuff I need to start it  and I haven't finished yet :eek:

On a more positive note, some DDs friends had a look at what I am making and all loved them.:j

And I have a name MumuBobbin (it's pronounced Moomoobobbin)

People of my age may remember the song 'Justified and Ancient' by KLF.
Well when I bought my caravan, a couple of my friends said it looked like the ice cream van in the video. And they now call me MuMu.

OMW Rod Stewart has a Christmas CD out. Just saw the advert. :rotfl:
  • well, we are back off our holidays, had a lovely week, but oh how i have missed you all! limited internet access means I have a lot of catching up to do, but first wanted to let you know of a few xmassy bargains I managed to get whilst we were away. poundland had some little decorate your own canvas bags with pictures of santa/snowman/rudolph on them, included some pens and foam, i picked up a couple as elf gifts and a couple extra which i plan to fill with sweets as gifts for school friends etc. Also, home bargains had animitaz set for £7.99, this looks like an excellent gifts for teenagers, its a create-your-own animation type thing, i know dd(12y) will love it! last buy was the led polar bear (im obsessed with polar bears) from qd for £7. Its going to look lovely on my window ledge! off to catch up now :rudolf:
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

    Hi all.

I only found this thread about a week ago but I'm already so glad I did. So far I've snapped up the dry shampoo from Superdrug, the snowman mugs for snowman soup, the disney DVD, the cushions from Dunelm and also the 12 issues of Radio Times for £1. Sorry I can't remember who posted each of them.

I normally start early with my Xmas shopping but DH has been in and out of temp work for the last 10 months so not had the spare funds available. You have all shown me that I can create an amazing Xmas without spending a fortune.

    Big thanks to all. :T
