Pinksteps & emalou88 - thanks so much for the toadstool finds. I can't get enough toadstooly bits and bobs this year!
Sugarspun - I don't know what's more impressive - your mega savings or the fact that you've put so much effort into keeping tabs on everything you've spent! :T
You lot are so organised and put me to shame....I don't have any trouble finding bargains and spending money but keeping tabs on it all and not getting carried away is another matter!
Own my Own - Best of luck with your crafty money-making. You seem very very organised so I'm sure you can make it work. I especially like the sock cupcakes and I think you can never have too many novelty socks at Christmas so hopefully they'll sell like hot sock-cakes! (Sorry, very poor joke, I know!)

Christmas planning has taken a back set with me this week as my mum hasn't been very well. She is home from hospital now and resting up so having a quiet weekend looking after her and writing my Christmas shopping list! I'm going away for the weekend next week so hoping to get some shopping done then though0

:rotfl: I did see some really tasty looking mini-mince pies the other day in Morrisons. Was seriously tempted to buy them for my office as a treat - but decided against it on the account that a) it is October and b) they are all miseries :rotfl:0 -
Hi all,
Not sure if anyone has any younger children to buy for but found a great bargain online at argos yesterday. Got Peppa Pig pyjamas and dressing gown half price at £9.99 for my DD age 3-4 but then you also get a link to a free pair of slippers worth £5.99. Got Cars ones age 5-6 for my DS too. Bargain!
They also had Thomas Tank and Barbie.
I can't post a link as I'm a new member but if you search pyjamas on Argos they should all come up.Savings Account - £0.00
Weight Loss - 33lbs lost 9lbs to go0 -

Well I excitedly snapped up some of Heston's Christmas goodies as soon as I spotted them in Waitrose so does that make me one of the "consumerist lemmings" which one of the comments referred to?! Oh well....I think lemmings can be quite cute actually so no offence taken!0 -
Hi all :santa2: just found your thread whilst hibernating over half-term! Have read the lot(!) and have laughed out loud and shed a tear-most of all I have got EXTREMELY excited about xmas!!!! I too am a xmasoholic and bargain hunt all year round to save the pennies. Am delighted to say my xmas shopping for DH, DSx2 and rest of the family is almost complete
My hubby has booked 3rd Dec off work and, as with every year, we will take kids to school then come home, mull some wine, warm mince pies, crank up the xmas CD's and spend the day wrapping all the presents
I love being organised so i can get into the xmas spirit early and really enjoy December.
Archiebear - Re your dad's american/British/transatlantic Hamper.... have you thought about presenting it all in one box/hamper? You could have british side and american side with transatlantic in the middle linking them - perhaps this will help to balance out the size of the gifts (basball glove etc) also what about adding something about the titanic- there are lots of books about (being 100years on) try The W*rks maybe? HTH
well lovely to meet you all, have a fab weekend everyone xxx0
