then I couldn't sum up the energy to get the lawnmower out of the shed so.....
started wrapping presents instead!!:snow_laug
They are looking good :xmassmile
BUT
then I got a bit worried and thought...."If I wrap them all now, I'll run out and then I'll have nothing to make me feel Christmassy"
SO
I've stopped.
BUT
I really, really want to carry on!! :xmassmile:xmassmile:xmassmile
I have wrapped everyone's except the photo frames and 1/2 of hubbys. I decided to leave the rest of hubbys to do in december so i could have some fun then
I wrote on FB today "It feels so christmassy today" and one person went all mad at me with the "its not even halloween yet" comment etc and it irritates me so much! let me enjoy my christmassy feelings people :rotfl:
it *does* feel christmassy to me today.Everything is always better after a cup of tea0 -

It looks like the ikea paper is similar to the m&s stuff (ok not as posh in sure) but brown wrap with decor on. My plan is to get wrapping paper and matching gift bags so I can use a combination

It does look similar and there is an Ikea about 5 minutes from where I work. I'll have to check it out. :j0 -

Did find Orange and Cinnamon though:)
Are you looking for the OS Chocolate and Mint one? If so there was a whole shelf of them in our Boots priced £1.50, I'll happily pick one up for you if you can't find one0 -
Hi all,
Well done to all you regular contributers for this brilliant thread, I absolutely love it and it is really nice to see there are so many of us who love the Christmas season. I will continue to pick up ideas!! x0 -
Well just found out it's just me, mum and sister on Halloween, wonder if I can persuade them to watch at least one Christmas movie lol
Just been decided it will be Nightmare before Christmas. A nice mix of Halloween and Christmas. Am going to get goodies this weekend for us to eat.“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”

Hello everyone :-)
Thanks for well-wishes really means a lot. So nice to see lots of new arrivals and many condolences for those who have lost a loved one, and are approaching the festivities missing someone *hugs*
Chirpychick - it does feel very Christmassy today! Got my sleeping bag (winter coat lol) out for the first time this year.
Loving the ikea bags and wrapping paper, very cute - Edinburgh ikea is about 30 mile away, hoping to go withy dad before Xmas but might be too late by then.
I went around a few shops today, my sainsburys was pants, then in argos I got 2 mini lalaloopsy dolls for the girls stockings but that's all, saw lots of lovely things that I had no money for though lol.
Mini dilemma re dd3's present - we've bought her the elc rosebud doll house as she has been talking about one she plays at nursery (really not like her to 'play' as she has sn so I'm very excited for her to have her own) transpires that the main thing she loves is the Santa set in the house and I can't get one anywhere :-( I've posted on Gumtree, facebay and I was bidding on eBay for one that went for well over £20 just for a wooden Santa and tree! I've not got that money for it and it seems elc have discontinued it, so if anyone sees one anywhere please please let me know!
Organising a Halloween party with my friends and their children (well over 60) an although I'm mildly looking forward to it, I just can't wait until its over so I'm allowed to talk about Xmas!
Hope everyone is doing well :-)
Finishing post on a nice note - i saw this quote on my fb and thought of you all.....
"Friends are like stars, you don't have to see them to know that they are there"

welcome newbies! lovely to have you here with us

chirpychick those comments really annoy me too! only because I think what right do they have to spoil anyone being happy about something, just cos they happen to think its 'too far away'!! shouldnt they be happy you are happy? not moaning about it and trying to bring you down! bl00dy miserable gits! at least you are hapopy and smiling, they are grinches!
I had an idea for Christmas cakes for kids or those who don't like fruit cake, in M&S they do lovely boxed rolls which are basically slighlty posh swiss rolls! in all different flavours, I love the jam and buttercream one, they are 1.49 but 2 for £2, I wondered about getting the lemon, apricot or jam one (they are plain sponge and lovely and light) and getting the kids to put the Betty Crocker vanilla frosting on it to make a Snow Roll? can decorate with pretty Christmas stuff, and use the chocolate frosting to make a Yule Log on the chocolate or coffee oneI can vouch for them being absolutely lush, and the BC tubs of frosting still on offer 1/3 off in Sains.
