Sorry, cross posted with vintage queen!

No probs lol as you've probably guessed I am having difficulty posting links today :(
  • Great price must pick some up ( must resist using it before I need to do my Xmas logs though

same problem here! :D I remember last year they reduced all the tubs for a week, their changover day is a Wednesday and I happened to be there when they were changing the SELs so got one, the next day popped in for cat food and thought I'd get another tub, there was a lady rummaging through all the others to see if there was a choc fudge one mixed up with the others and she said 'this always happens, they reduce it and everyone grabs them the same day and you never see them again!' ... I backed away and didnt admit I wanted a 2nd one! :rotfl:

just too yummy to resist, my buttercream frosting only works well with coffee, my chocolate ones are never as good as BC no matter how good a quality the chocolate I use is!
  • :snow_laug nothing's tastes quite like it so yummy and I love the fact it covers up all the little baking mishaps :) when I bake cakes etc they are never quite right bits are always falling off and with the frosting it sort of covers up my mistakes :T
  • Sugarspun & nic2075 I am sorry to hear of your loses, I hope you manage to get everything sorted. *hugs*

Own my Own Im sorry to read of your dads reaction to the hamper, I think you should still go ahead with it but I like the idea of humbugs too. Ive given them to my own dad in the past when he gets grumpy about building costs!!

tab1967 Your picture of Oscar is lovely, A friend of mine had her first child two days ago and she is so tiny & cute! Making me very broody!

Have been thinking of maybe buying a christmas tree shaped cake tin this year, but was thinking how would I line the tin, has anyone used one before and got the cake out in one piece!
Need to try & get to tesco and have a look for this Betty Crocker Chocolate cake covering thing & see if its veggie otherwise I need to find/make an alternative.

And also my old boss who im still very good friends with has just become a grandmother for the first time & I was thinking about getting something little for her granddaughter for xmas but was unsure what? Anyone bought presents for relative newborns before any ideas orrrrr should I get something she can use in the future?
    Thanks!

Sorry I'm about 10 pages behind so this might've been answered!

You can get cake release to spray in tins rather than using grease proof, something like this (although I've never used this one so might be worth checking for reviews, places like Lakeland also do them)

I'm sorry spacecadet but you've defeated me on this one :( usually I can find anything anyone wants, I'm known for it, but Lego slippers seem rarer than hens teeth! The only thing I can find is slipper socks in the USA via Ebay, someone else posted a link for them as well! I'll keep an eye out on my travels though! I have found a dressing gown if that's any help? :D

I must admit it's very unusual for me to not be able to find something but it has got me beat too :(. Haven't had chance to email Lego so will give that a try & if no luck I might try to get some of the patches & stick them on some plain slippers.

    Thanks for looking :)
