Good evening fellow christmas-lovers. Have today found out that my parents have decided to go away for xmas, and as my brother wants to spend his first xmas with his new gf & her kids, that means it will only be me, dh, dds 12 & 5, and fil on christmas day. Im kinda looking forward to a quieter christmas, but as I usually host 10-12, its going to be very different. I would like to do a special homemade dinner table thing as there will be a lot more room. I purchased a lovely black table cloth with little silver reindeer & snowflake design back in Jan sales so want to work around this. But I have no clue what i can make for napkin rings, cutelry holders or the dreade centre piece! So if any of you have seen any patterns, sites, or come across anything whilst out and about that could be suitable, please let me know. As I say, i really have no idea, im not too great at drawing so im open to any suggestions. Thankyou in advance :rudolf:It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0

One thing I am going to do is buy disposable roasting trays though if anyone sees any please post there is one thing spending the mornign cooking which i quite enjoy another spending the day scrubbing pans lol....
Funny you ask this as I saw some today in Tesco! . They have a yellow SEL and are 94p each instead of £2.04 each! They have three different sizes and they're all 94p (Well in mine they are at least!). They were just past the cleaning section in my local, With the cooking matches etc.

Damzel_In_Distress-Would you mind sharing the clothing offer? Got a few men stil left to buy for!
It was on the hut. There is a 15% off code on somethings, and then there is another offer with certain jackets, jumpers and hoodies where you can get a really decent designer tshirt for free as well.
I spent £14.99 on a jumper that should of been £54.99
Got a tshirt that should of been £24.99 for free.
Then got 15% off a lovely berry coloured slightly xmassy patterned zip up jacket by brave soul, It was £11.99 but prices everywhere else are between £25-£30.
The only problem I find with the hut is that there prices and offers change constantly, which i why i took the plunge and ordered straight away because last time i waited the prices when way, way up!
All the stuff i got is this season and I have seen two of the items in the trafford centre recently at full price so I am really really pleased.
It's been despatched already too :jprincesskitty29 wrote: »

Thanks for the heads up on half cost too, will keep an eye on it!
I have that bookIt was 49p in Home bargains about 15 months ago! I bought a few as stocking fillers for people and kept one for myself.. I can't tell you what's in it though
I have to keep my evil plans to myself

I bought a fish bowl type glass vase a few years ago (from mr t's but lot of places like Amazon sell them). I fill it with Christmas baubles of various sizes & colours & looks really effective as a centre piece. You could fill with silver & black baubles.
I've also seen reindeer napkin holders before. Or you might find some snowflake napkin holders. Will try to remember where from. If you're any good at sewing, you could get some black material & silver material & make some napkins to alternate around the table.0 -

I started nearly 8 years ago when I was pregnant with DD1. There is a thread on MSE devoted to MSing and lists a load of companies you can register with. If you just search "Mystery Shopping" nder the forums you will find it. You don't make a great deal to start with but it is good for supermarket visits, cinema assignments, burger jobs etc. It pays for us to have things we wouldn't normally be able to afford.0
