It's so strange how some people are more or less within reach of 3 Home Bargains, and yet there's not one within 50 miles of me! I don't think they've done very well spreading themselves out!

Got 4 of these bottles in Sainsburys today. They are 250ml and cost under a £1. Think they should look nice with gold ribbon round the neck.



Fortnums and Masons last Christmas, (Just so you don't walk past it). Down the side is a little entrance. It is not as grand as the front one, but it is the one the posh regulars use.(All the chauffeur driven cars are parked down there.) It has the most lovely Irish Doorman you have ever met. He is in a top hat and tails and opens the door for you. He has been there years and I always stop and have a little chat with him.:)

I love f and m 2 years ago I was lucky enough to be sent a hamper from them it was so lovely but I could or would never spend that money on one but I have ordered them for work a few times as corporate gifts!
When I go up to London for the ideal Christmas home show thing I'm going to go into harrods, fortnums and then onto selfridges after I can't wait. When I was little I remember my dad driving us into London to look at the lights and displays of all the big department stores I use to love it (and still would but not tempted one bit to drive myself into central London) :-)

Some great news on here today, happy we've been having some good times!
For years I worked at the bottom of Regent St so Fortnum & Mason was my local, LOL! So gorgeous at Christmas. I used to get 3 F & M hampers (champagne & truffles type ones) every year from publishers but budgets have been slashed in recent years and I don't get them any more, sob sob! Lovely though.

They are not available all over the country, so It may be that you live in a part of the country where they don't have stores? I know originally it was only available in the north west of england when they first started.

Quality save is the same store as Home bargains, they just get home bargains sur plus stock and sell under a different name (no idea why but it is the same company) and don't always have all the good newer stock home bargains do, but the regular stock is the same in both stores, and eventually quality save do get the other stock as well it just takes longer to trickle down into the Quality save stores.
I only mention that because if you don't have a home bargains close by, perhaps you have a quality save and have not realised that it is the same shop?

I love going to the big department stores in London at Christmas. Next time I go I must remember Fortnums. And Liberty, I always forget to go to Liberty.

Before the new ones in Reading and Southall the nearest to me was 26 miles and that was London so awkward to get to for me. Keep checking on their store locator because they add new stores all the time and thats how I found out about the one in Southall.
