ShonaM - love it. They made macaroon cones on Australian Masterchef last year (or possibly the year before). they were very similar and looked brill.

Home bargains have Christmas mugs for 39p each in a few different styles. Perfect at that price for what you want them for. I picked two up today for me and DS, I don't have anywhere to store them for next year so like you, I'll get rid of them after xmas and replace again next you. At 39p it's cheap enough to do that

I'm really disappointed on the xmas front today. I went to a rather large Home bargains in Leigh ,It isn't close by and is actually a fairly lengthy trip away but I was in the area anyway for an appointment and they didn't have the Rudolph scene it
I was all excited thinking I'd definitely get it from there because its the type of home bargains that in the past if i've not been able to find something another one has, that one has never failed me even though its quite far away. I asked and the guy said they had no plans to get it either as it is store specific *sulk* :(:(.
I know i still have two months to get one, but I'm being childish and I want it NOW *stamps foot* :rotfl:

Id be disappointed too Damzel_In_Distress. Not spotted any christmas pyjamas yet either. Ive decided I just have to go to HB next week (friday), if they have Rudolph scene it in mine do you want me to get you one and post it? BTW Ive seen Blackjacks in HB and fruit salads. I got some and they tasted strange, maybe they've had to take out loads of additives since I was a kid! :rotfl:

Damzel in distress can get a quite big mixed bag of black jacks and fruit salad at £1 shop so could make both types of vodka.

Shona M was it you who mentioned the elves that deliver to your home? if so could I have the details please. Also not sure where abouts in Tyne & wear you are and if already know but theres going to be a christmas market at team valley 30 nov 1 and 2 december, theyve got a page on facebook :rudolf:

Thanks for all the comments about the cone thing. We used to make a few of them for weddings and things. There so easy to make. The purple one was for a wedding in June. My favourite one I did was a garden themed one with packets of seeds, watering can shaped biscuits etc.

Im going to make one for halloween so it looks like a witches hat covered in black spiders, bats and eyeballs.

Well, its dd's 5th birthday tomorrow and i think im more excited than she is! cant wait to see her face when she opens the lego police station shes been asking for since she was three! I managed to get it from amazon in feb or march, for just £45 (rrp and current price £79.99). And once tomorrow is over, the next celebration in our house is christmas!! my studio order arrived yest, bit dissapointed by the size of the wrap but they look so cute, ive gone for matching themes and colours this year, blue for eldest, purple for youngest, red for step daughters, and other little family members, and a lovely black for dh and other older family members! Sorry to sound boring, but the wrapping paper is one of the most exciting parts for me, i spend hours making sure the presents look as presentable as possible! last year everything was wrapped by mid november, and come dec i was a bit bored, so this year i WILL wait until first weekend in december until I have my annual wrapping, xmas songs and rose wine evening!

Me again, forgot to mention my dissapointing morning, popped to hame bargains in lunch break to get rudolf scene it, they had none, i asked the assistant who then asked someone else who then asked a computor, and apparently computor said no, they wont be getting any in! gutted! :-(

Last time I had a fruit salad I thought they tasted different to when I was a child too. I've never seen them in HB before though, Ill take a closer look next time.

I am going to go to two other big HB's over the weekend, I've enlisted a friend to chauffeur me around in two completely different directions to see if I can get one haha!
If I still can't get hold of one, I may just take you up on the offer. I'll let you know early next week if I've managed to get one or not
Then again if I do manage to get one, You won't be able to miss the giant caps lock, sparkly xmas emotion filled post I will undoubtedly post on here :rotfl:

I was in the £1 shop today and spent ages in the sweet section but didn't see any. But that in all fairness is because I wasn't looking for them so probably just glanced past them. Thanks for letting me know, If I don't see any in HB when I go over the weekend, I'll get some from there when I go for the rest of the halloween things I still need
