liley9 I know exactly what you mean! I live for my holidays but always want to be home at Christmas as I love all the lights, tree etc as well! I do like the dark nights on the run up to Christmas as it makes everything seem so festive, but don't like the cold though - think I was born on the wrong continent!! :)

I must have turkey and cranberry sauce and bread sauce and stuffing - preferably at least 2 types of stuffing! And a turkey & trimmings sandwich for supper at some point too. And turkish delight - didn't have any last year and it didn't seem the same.

my christmas must have is Elizabeth Shaw mints - must be milk chocolate, After 8 mints - white chocolate, and brandy sauce with my xmas pud. x

Love mince pies, but clotted creaqm just doesn't taste the same outside of Devon. x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • I have decided I might try and customise one of the canvas shopper bags. I used to really like doing tops with sequin designs before had the kids and had more time. So will do a practise one for myself and see how that goes then if can still do them and have the time I will try a bag for Xmas. Only problem with the sequins is how to avoid colour coming off them if gets wet etc? Any ideas

last year i discovered lidls mini stollen (sp) they are so morish and yummy. Think i worked my way through quite a number of packs last year. Must resist this year and just buy a couple of packs.

Have been thinking about my lists and updating. Several of the relatives decided last year that we would just buy for the kids - especially as we just swapped voucher - well i am hoping that we can do the same this year as it reduced the amounts quite a bit
