Ooh thanks! Saw some of those in a local sweetie shop. Was also thinking about getting some wham bars, black jacks, fruit salads, refreshers etc. hoping some offers will come on the bags of sweeties for Halloween and will get some things then.0 -

Thanks for all the ideas!
Me and my friends use to always go to the shop next to our school and buy a 50p pick and mix. Most things were 1 or 2p. Dearest thing was 10p. No chance of that these days haha0 -

I wonder if I could do a santa one??? Or maybe my magic elf could get involved!
That would be perfect for Santa! Wish I had a red fridge.
Ours is another silver one, but I still might do a snowman on it.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -

Isn't it funny (or not) what kids remember and think is important. My Ds 19 (ASD) just asked what I was doing.
'Speaking to someone about Christmas' I replied.
'Do you remember when the man stole my Christmas toothbrush ?'
Of the things to remember. None of the nice Christmas'.
When he was about 7 or 8 my parents picked him up to stay at their house over night, the day after boxing day.
Before going home they went to the cinema. On coming out, someone had broken into my dads car and stolen Ds's bag.
The police were called, and Ds heard one say that the theif had most probably taken the presents( PS1 game etc) and binned the rest.
Ds was so upset his new toothbush was in a bin somewhere, he wanted us to go to the tip and look for it.
11 years later he still remembers ' The man who stole my Christmas Toothbrush'0 -

just been to my local supermarket beginning in S and ending in AINSBURYS and they had christmas gift wrap and cards and crackers! i may have actually said "eeeeeeeeee" and hopped about. however i already have all of these things from the post-xmas-2011 sales so didn't get to buy any. sob. they also had out their gift sets (marmite and the like) but not marked as being 3 for 2 yet. still, though. squee!!
also, for the preggos, i got a jumper in their 25% off everything TU which is ideal for maternity. tis stripy, swingy shape, pockets on front, £18 RRP and says "with wool" on the label. i thought very flattering! might treat myself to one more in another colour0 -
