i have completed a £50 savings book for morrisons so that has been given to my mum for safe keeping and i will start my next one.

ive been looking at my savings pot and wondering whether to smash it now to get my panto tickets early so as to be near the front. its my kids first time (eldest two, the baby wont b going) and id like to get good seats.
its just a bit hard to choose what day and time to go and theres also the fact that id need to buy a new savings pot

If you have notes in and a pair of tweezers there can be another way around it :o

I'd perhaps buy another savings pot first though to save any 'accidental' dibbing in the money :rotfl:

It is definitely worth it, especially first time, given that it'd a) save you money nearer the time as you'd already have them , b) give you another thing off your mind and list and c) front row :D :T

Gleek I blame you for all this excitement :) and I'm loving it welcome welcome welcome to our new friend. Come in and enjoy the fun we are all gonna share the our excitement.
I got a a sports bag as a pressie for our SiL last week feeling really quite pleased with myself. Foolishly told my DD and two days later when his scruffy old bags zip broke she told SiL not to worry as I'd got him one for Christmas! So he's now using his Christmas pressie in May! Arrghh note to self don't tell DD about my squirrelling :)

If your DH is anything like mine don't get front row for the panto! He spends the entire time petrified he's going to be picked on and it's just not worth it. I always get second row now.

I have just posted these to the grabit board, I am ordering for stocking fillers. There is also a snow shovel on grabit for under £3 delivered

Just spotted these in my recommendations, just in case anyone is getting ready for winter.

Reviews seem good, I have ordered a couple to put away for christmas

Is it a ceramic pot? Could you drill a hole in the bottom, take out what you need then superglue the hole sealed again?

TYVM I've ordered three pairs to use over winter as we're constantly on the go because my grandad's ill - that little bit extra grip would be fantastic! And that price is bargainous considering what they can be in Winter. I saw some recently in Asda's for about £10 in the 'sale' not too long back.

    Hey everyone,
my nan sent me the £5 gift card for mamas and papas from the catalogue which i received saturday and placed my order for a baba toy to go in the stocking it was £5 so cost me nothing.

I got the christmas book today - its ace, i highly recommend it especially for the price currently on amazon its so thick!!
Ive started browsing it and found some cheese tart things (that look like mince pies) and i know my mum would love those, so going to add them to her christmas present assuming hubby and i can find the time to make them :)

there is also a recipe for pork wrapped in bacon with stuffing inside which would be perfect for us this christmas as FIL doesn't eat chicken or turkey.

    I still need presents for

hubby - £14 I have already brought him 2 t shirts which cost £16 and our budget is usually £30 BUT he has been wanting a george foreman with removable plates to replace our very old one for about 2 years now and its £45 in argos, i am debating getting it for him using our shop and scan vouchers and then just putting some sweet treats in his stocking. Effectively the grill wouldn't cost anything and i think he deserves a bit of spoiling. opinions???

    MIL (74) £10 - NO IDEA
    FIL (76) £10 - NO IDEA
They are spending the day with us and i like them to have a few bits to open so im thinking of giving them a stocking each labelled "grandma & grandpa" which i can reuse every year and fill it with little things - a 2013 diary for MIL, booklight for FIL, but after those 2 things im stuck for ideas LOL!

Best friends little girl (5) £5 budget - no idea

Everybody else i know what im doing now.
Everything is always better after a cup of tea

My number one favorite thing about Christmas is the pantomime, no-body else appreciates my love for it so i normally get the train to Manchester and have a shop and show day, gives me a chance to go in primark too. I normally book my tickets about September time but i think it depends if its just a local production tickets don't go as fast compared to the big city pantomimes that star "celebrities". Christmas eve tickets ALWAYS sell early though so do book early if going then :j
