    Hi :santa2:
I have a list for Christmas 2012 running already. My hubs saw it and scoffed:eek:

I really want to get organised and enjoy Christmas this year as I love it too. Im going on a few craft courses in November so also need to get organised for this. I also do the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal so have to find suitable bits n pieces for that too. I have four kids to buy for - well 3 are technically adults now - but they love their stockings still, as does hubs. I also go overboard so hoping I can get organised early. Loving this thread x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Can I join in please? I am old enough, at 60, to know better but have always been carried away by Christmas. Now I have (by Christmas) a four year old, a three year old and a one year old (grandchildren of course) it has reinforced my enthusiasm and I love to make things magical for them, from about October onwards. LOL. As it is we still read the Christmas stories from last year and I have lost count of the number of Peppa Pig Christmas stories I have watched on dvd with them.

I like to make things myself and intend to make bits and pieces for the dolls we have here. I am lucky in that I have a whole room I can give over to the grandchildren when they visit and it also holds my craft bits. I pick up things in charity shops and in sales, all put to one side, if I can resist giving them to the children early.

Looking forward to checking in here regularly.

Loved reading through this thread...I'm sooooooooo excited for Christmas this year...I seem to get a bit more organised each year. I would love to be snowed in over Christmas mind...spend the whole of Christmas eating, watching movies, tucked up on the sofa with a duvet while the kids play with their new stuff.
For me the lead up to Christmas, the planning and the organising is the best bit so the earlier we start the better. I always stock up in the boots 75% off sale.
This year there will be 5:eek: new babies in the family before Christmas so I need to come up with something cheap for them...maybe make something...would have to start now though :D

    Hey :)
Thanks so much for the book details ive naughtily ordered it off amazon (i think it was £2.70 inc p&p if anyone is interested!)

I got the £5 voucher from the mamas and papas catalogue and so did hubby so have ordered 2 items to be collected - i did spend £3 but got £10 off so that was great :) Ive got a little christmas outfit, sleepsuit and bibs all christmassy for my bubba and they were free from freecycle - im glad i decided to get a few bits, that stocking is nearly complete and only £11 spent - hubby and i may do a babys first build a bear nearer the time.

I have been frantically selling the little i have left on ebay, some clothes, shoes, money box, dvds there is 20 items in total and most have been relisted already so im sure im not going to make much but im creating space and building up some funds in my paypal account for other presents.

Some of you amaze me with your £600 amazon vouchers and things, we dont even spend that on everyone including food! :-O though not a criticism!!!!! I just think i feel a bit tight now LOL

The hardest person i have to buy for is my mum, she is 45, loaded, only like really posh expensive items and never seems pleased with anything i buy her.
she does like wine and cheese but i know nothing about either so would be very hard for me to put together a hamper.
she has a bf who i usually just buy chocolates for because he is equally difficult.
does anybody have any suggestions as to what i can get them?
I did consider buying then a tin of biscuits and a bottle of m&s bucks fizz (and doing the same for my dad and his wife) because when i was little those were the 2 things the only tradition we ever had, always a tin of biscuits and always m&s bucks fizz on christmas morning and i thought it might be nice to write a little verse explaining im keeping with tradition. It would be helpful because it would be under my budget and make my life so much easier but i just cant think of what verse to write.
does anybody have any ideas??? and do you think this is nice?
Everything is always better after a cup of tea
