Hi all! I am also a christmas fanatic!! I used to hate christmas when I was growing up as it was just so awkward & depressing. But when I first met my now husband (who is a massive kid at heart) he made Christmas really special and I love it now! We have one dd who is 5 and another little one due 24th November, we've got our first scan monday! So hoping chirpy chick can share any baby offers she sees! :rotfl:

So far my dd wants an alarm clock!?, a pedometer!? and a new baby doll pushchair!

Thinking of something like this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9354630.htm?CMPID=GS001&_$ja=tsid:11527|cc:|prd:9354630|cat:toys+and+games+/+toys+/+dolls+/+dolls+prams+and+furniture+/ so looking for any bargains!

We have quite a few to buy for with trying to save for the new baby, a trip to disneyland in August (already booked before I became pregnant!), and save for a house deposit we are trying to get the best value for money!

I'm not a crafty person at all though I do love seeing what people make! If anyone has Facebook shops let me know and I will have a nose!

I have also ordered the perfect christmas book - can't wait for it to come! Have started buying a few bits. I got a load of smellies in the telco 3 for 2 before the prices went back up. Just got to pick them up and hope the whole order is there! I have also ordered a few of the £1.99 scarves and hats from Gap to make presents.

Right I think that's enough waffle from me! xx

Hello :) I am also a Christmas fanatic of epic proportions complete with nerdy multi-coloured spreadsheet involving sheets from last year so no duplicate gifts and a budget versus money made through ebay/rewards sites/cashback sites :money:

The only gifts I still need to buy are my DH's main gift (it will be a banjo, I am hoarding Amazon vouchers for it), chocolate coins for nephews, niece and DD and leaving gifts plus Christmas gifts for kindergarten teachers. I'm not buying the banjo yet because I don't want to have to hide it, the chocolate coins aren't on sale yet and I am waiting for the best Grabbit I can for the leaving/Christmas gifts (six in total, maybe a good Body Shop one).

    Merry Christmas everyone :j

    Three gifts left to buy

This thread is terrific - never realised there were so many others like me! I absolutely love Christmas, it's just the best time of year!! I'm the one up at 5am on xmas morning.... then have to sit waiting for the kids to get up LOL

I'm sooooo excited for this coming Christmas as I have a new grandson who will be 1 in November so the fun starts all over again:j

The last few years I've been really last minute and have bought mostly online but am determined to be organised this time round (especially as my job could end in the summer:eek:) .
I'm quite lucky that I only have 8 to buy for so I've been checking all the Christmas related threads and have decided to go with the idea of hampers; attempting to complete 1 a month. Up to now have decided on ....

    DS - Movie hamper
DS partner - Winter Snuggle hamper
DD - no idea - she's so fussy and only likes really expensive things! Ideas welcome!
    DD partner - Golf hamper
    Dad - Real Ale hamper
    Sister - Candle hamper
BIL - Hot, Hot, Hot hamper (loads of chilli and spicy stuff)
    Grandson - well, let's just say I've gone a bit mad!:rotfl:

I work long hours including evenings and weekends so it's been difficult to get shopping but have now finished the candle hamper (just need to invest in some cellophane) and on pay day am taking a trip to £Land (about 14 miles away) to try and grab some bargains. I've also completed a 'gift in a jar' for each hamper that contains 52 facts related to each theme.

Thanks to all you lovely MSE users I'm also doing a pot of gold for each as a stocking filler .

Got my lists in my handbag at the ready.....bring it on!
    Stopped smoking 20th October 2012 :D

This year I will have something that resembles a garden and not a building site!

I'm a lurker too and another Christmas fanatic!! So glad that its not just me. Have 4 kids of my own to buy for and a huge family too so I always start early. Have bought the main present for my dd but still have a long way to go for everyone else. Have started watching my Christmas dvd's again too but its not that strange to my brother as he is just the same as me. I blame my mother lol

i too will be following this thread as i have a lot of family to buy for. Last year a few of us stopped swapping gift vouchers to take the pressure of money off. Budget is all sorted and already have a few pressies so i am getting there.

Last 2 years i have had the flu just before or at Christmas so things were a little rushed - or not done at all. This year i will invest in the flu jab and make sure all shopping is done nice and early just in case :)
