Aww OMO it's rubbish not being able to sleep :( will you be able to grab a nap later? Good luck with the fair tomorrow. At least if you have such low hopes for it chances are it will be better than your fears and if it is bad you won't be disappointed...

  • Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping warm! Was -5 here in W Yorks this morning, but no snow. ( I have a fear of driving in snow after a rather nasty accident a few years ago. I still think it looks beautiful, just as long as I am inside the the house or on foot! )

Have been busy putting up decorations inside. Finished the porch tree too, so now only to put the candle arches in the dining room windows, then all the lights will be on! ( DD swears you can see our house from space :rotfl:)

Went to see Breaking Dawn, pt 2 yesterday with dd - very good, especially the twist!

JJ - I am so sorry Turbo is missing, I know from experience how awful it is. Really hope he turns up soon, ready for food and cuddles.

MrsDrink - I wanted a "Christmas " jigsaw too - keep getting outbid on Ebay on the one I want :(

daisiegg - good luck for the parents eve - I always found a comfy chair and continual supply of coffee helped!

weeclick - we have house cats too. My dd will only let them "play out" on the patio if she is with them :rotfl:. Hope you are feeling better, what a lovely OH , loooking after you.

OMO - sorry you had to cancel the gift party, but good luck for the Bazzar tomorrow. I'm sure you'll do well, your makes are fantastic!

aliaslotte - well done on finding a Dandy at last!

Ruth_honey - hope you enjoyed your peaceful day, sounds wonderful.

kayandy - my goodness, you will be shattered after all those events. Hope you enjoy them all!

junior_j - sorry to hear about the op. Sending hugs and hope you soon feel better.

Well, that's all for now. Stay warm and safe everyone, enjoy the snow if you have it! xxx
  • Hugs to those who need them! and a glass of hot toddy for everyone else.

And so the annual missing pressie has started.. there was i sat busy making my way through the horrid task of wrapping pressies (130 labels already used :O have i really bought that much eek!) when i realised i'd not seen the wooden farm set that goes with dd4's main pressie (rosebud dolls house) i've got one large box to wrap up in the main xmas cupboard and i think the other cupboard i have left the item wouldn't fit in there... where have i put it this time! lol... last year was a box full of expensive bits that kept me awake night after night, turned up ontop of my wardrobe in a box i thought was our wedding bits.

Feeling a little blah atm, nothing xmas concerned just dh's ex creating.. she is insisting we need to pay for her boys at a rate that doesn't even take my girls into account.. they don't matter/arn't alive in her eyes and as such has told the csa just that, who never bothered to even ask us if we have children etc.. what the csa calculator says we have to pay is what we have been paying, she wants double... which would be more than the rent we have to pay..... now don't get me wrong its not the whole paying her thats the issue, its the amount. She already gets double from us than i get from my 3 girls father blah and more blah... sorry babbling.

Not got much xmassy planned today as i've got to go to the secondary school annual parents thing then the older girls are off school tomorrow.

Think i'll treat myself to a snowball later on!

Oh just remembered i got the xmas pressie for dh i was umming and ahhing whether to get him or not (as it was nearly £40) but just got it for £24!!! which is the money i have left in my paypal account so might just transfer that into the bank so its all paid for lol
    Totally debt free wohooo 2014

  • JJ-Huge hugs, I really hope Turbo turns up soon! x

aliaslottie-I have that white paper too! It does feel very thin (havent used it yet) so now I know it actually is Ill be careful when I use it. Your presents look very nice. :)
It all looks very promising on the job front for you. *Good luck*

weeclick-Glad you are feeling a bit better! I got some tags that were like luggage tags from The Works online, they may have them instore? Im sure they say something like make your own gift tags on them but they are really just 10 plain different coloured tags lol. They're the ones on my little bags of indulgence if you saw that pic a while back. :)

kayandy-Great news about your MILs scan. I hope the outcome of the leg scan is just as good. I hope your Grandad has a very relaxing christmas and new year! :)

    daisiegg-Hope you're feeling better today! x

sk00bie1-Love the sweatshirt! I hope they have some next week as that would be better for me as I overheat really in jumpers and they make me itch! I did get a Rudolph one because I just had to lol but the sweatshirt would be more comfortable really. How much was it? :) I have loads of those little wooden ornaments from the Pound shops, lovely arent they. :)

junior_j-Oh my goodness, you poor thing! How are you feeling now? Sending lots of hugs. xxx

Nanamia-How are you? Sorry you are not feeling too festive. :( *sending lots of festive wishes and vibes* Did you go and see the Coca-Cola truck? x

I got the Rudolph cheese for £1 from Morrisons yesterday so my collection is complete! :rotfl:Also they have wrapping paper 5m for 50p so I got some to wrap the stocking fillers in. :)

Morning, goodluck OMO, you'll be fine. I was really nervous last week before mine, but once I had it all set out the way I wanted it I was fine.
Remember to take business cards or a sign saying they are all handmade by (you) and where they can place further orders. I had cards but no actual sign, so a lot of folk didn't realise I had handmade them all.
Plus remember a book for orders, I got quite a few from it xx

Hugs to those all feeling unwell x

Hope you have a speedy recovery Junior J xx

Squeazy hugs for Nanamia too, hope you get back into the spirit of things.x

I have my DS off school sick. He is currently sound asleep, leaving me watching the Christmas episodes of Ben and holly and Peppa pig I recorded.

I plan to make peanut butter fudge, and mince pies today x

  • Any suggestion on what to give my hairdresser? Got an appointment at 9 on Saturday morning, won't be in tomorrow night to make anything and have to give blood this evening (well, hopefully will pass the test this time, was really annoyed last time, need min haemoglobin level of 125, mine was 124:mad:). I made her fudge last year so don't really want to do the same thing this year, and likewise, don't really want to buy any of the usual bought at Christmas.

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning all!

OMO - hope the school fair goes well, don't fixate on what one parent said (prob snidey because she's not creative)

Junior, hope you make a speedy recovery, get lots of rest.

Went to see Nativity 2 last night, loved it! Then went home and wrote the rest of my Xmas cards only to find out, I didn't actually have enough cards. Got lil' SILs coming over tomorrow night (I say lil' they're 31 and 26 but both have Downs so seem younger than they really are) and the youngest is planning on making cards like we did last year so will make some more for me too. SO we're going to head upstairs and make cards whilst watching a frstive film whilst DH and other lil' SIL watch footy, yawn!
