Wow Skoobie welcome. Looks like you are going to be right at home here:). Your makes are gorgeous well done. Love the cupcakes too they are so cute. The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do
All year through0 -
making my things for the fair on Saturday is taking up soooo much time, this is the first time I have been on the computer all day:eek:
I still have loads to do and keep getting that OMG I have so much to do and so little time and I am never going to be ready on time.
OMO I fully understand your fears I keep looking at my things and thinking no one will want to buy them and anyone could make these. BUT your things are lovely and there are some fab and creative ideas. As you say we have to see our things through other people's eyes and they are probably things they have never seen before. You will be fine!

Can't believe I've only just ventured into this thread and found people as nuts about Christmas as I am
I love it!, can't wait till Saturday so I can put up the tree! Unfortunately my OH doesn't share my love but he puts up with meI'm currently sitting on our bed making these, not sure if he'll put up with all the fake snow that's getting in to the bed! He just gave me one of those 'you're so strange' looks, maybe I'll get away with it!!
I love the trees you've posted so far, as Caitlyn22 said, they are all like brides! Or princesses! All beautiful :T
Here are the decorations I've made so far this year

Hi Sk00bie1!
Another familiar face from the cross stitch cafe.I've been here a couple of weeks & it's great seeing what people are making for christmas. There's some very creative people here & I also love seeing pics of everyone's trees. I am hoping to put mine up this weekend. Need to clear the garage out to get to the place where they're stored first. That might take some doing...
I don't think I've had the tree up in three years now. Various reasons-unwanted 'creatures' in the house  and in 2010 my grandma died and I couldn't face Christmas. So this year I really want it up and looking very festive. :xmastree: I've bought the mulled wine & have a Christmas playlist on my iPod ready to listen to when we are decorating. :T
Does anyone decorate the outside of their house? I love seeing all the lights when walking round the streets in the evening, but it's never occurred to me to buy outdoor lights myself.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Hi Sk00bie1.
Can I ask, what have you stitched the christmas tree decorations onto? It looks like a more sturdy material than the aida I normally stitch onto.
Thanks,Savings Account - £0.00

owww what's up Jen?
CHRISSYG - was going to mention mine had been dispatched. WHSmith replied to me stating they only deliver to store once a week hence the delay!!
FeistyFidget the works have packs of cookie cutters - i think 5 or so in a box, different styles and on 3 for 2. didn't see price i think around £2 or £3.
The homebargain ones are nice, but very small.
thanks to the advice from some friends I got a Santa Key in Card Factory today - 99p and a notebook with santa on called "santa's notes" for 99p (they also had a snowman design).loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
This home bargains you all talk of sounds amazing! I am very jealous as our nearest one is 42 miles away
Will check out the worksI am also on the hunt for some old fashioned style twine for my gift tags. I brought some beautiful metallic ribbon, but it is too thick and I think the twine/string will work better. They had it in the 99p store back in the summer, but I doubt its there now as it was in the seasonal garden section. Any suggestions?

I bought a twine compost sack in The Range and took it apart . Very boring, but it worked.0 -
Just got back from seeing the cola truck, and although it was a wonderful sight, we were kind of dissapointed, there was no choir, band, or even free cans of coke, just a very large que to have your photo taken! We managed to stand kids by ribbon in front of the truck & take a few photos which have come out lovely, so not all bad! half way through writing this, whilst eating my chocolate, I have just lost the crown from a tooth :-( i hate dentists but looks like im going to be visiting one asap :-(It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0

Hi RuthI love looking at the lights too! If we had our own place there'd be lights outside for sure :rotfl: I love the lighted animals I've seen at garden centres but they are very dear
My parents have a jasmine bush outside their house and we've always put white lights on it. I think I would stick to white lights myself but that doesn't mean I don't like looking at everyone else'e coloured lightsmy christmas spirit has left the building:(
Oh no JenHope it sneaks back in soon. I must admit mine had disappeared too until earlier this week.

Thanks,
Hi Hanley
The decorations are Mill Hill kits, like these. They are stitched onto thick perforated paper and then you cut them out. I then stuck some felt on the back and made a hanger. HTH!
Feistyfidget - I bought some red and white striped twine from a seller on Ebay, is that what you had in mind? It's butcher's twine so it's thicker than I thought it would be but it was cheap and looks festive so can't complain
Bunbun - I've got my fingers crossed for you for Saturday :TCross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:XStitch to do list:-- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird ---- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --0
