2nd hand car "bought" Friday now advertised as cheaper

i might be completely missing something, but more to the point, if you have already fully paid for the car, why is it re-advertised for sale?
They advertise cars which have already been sold at lower prices, which they won't ever have to sell at, to entice customers in the hope they can say "sorry it's just been sold" and sell another car on which they will make more money.
They used to simply publish descriptions of cars which didn't exist in newspaper adverts but now the internet and auto trader are so popular I suppose they use cars they have just sold because they need pictures.
