Becuase it's being advertised at a lower price and I have not taken ownership of it yet. I have paid, but the only document signe dis for temporary insurance.
As I say, I don't know how I stand with this and I'm getting a decent price either way. Although obviously I'd prefer the £100....
When you paid for it, a contract was formed.
Your deal is at what was decided at the time. If its advertised at a lower price later, thats tough.
Lets put it this way. How much joy do you think you'd get from the petrol station if it was £1.43 a litre when you filled up today and tomorrow it dropped to £1.40 a litre?0 -
Not good responses. Ask the dealer for the £100 back. If he says no, ask him to put a tank of fuel in it, or put the tax on it, or agree to the next service. If he still says no, fair enough, but at least ask.0

Why do I get an image of a vulture picking the meat off a dead body in the desert?0
-
probably because you gave up the home trading when irate customers upset your neighbours0
-
At least you don't disagree with the mental image a used car dealer evokes.0
-
i see you with a massive big uncooked maris piper on your shoulder if that helps
then i see you in your underpants doing an alan partridge
but what the heck0 -
You don't stand anywhere legally. You can ask, he can say no. Which is about the worst he can do.
You don't lose anything by asking. Although I suspect the dealer will say it's a typo on the ad0 -
Best to read this thread on the consumer rights forum.
Basically you have already agreed the price and they could have refused to sell at the lower one if they wanted0
