My nephew went on a night out & came back with one shoe, they were new & cost about £80 at the time, I called him Cinderella for ages after :D

I've lost a few bags & a coat, once came back with my leggings on inside out :o

I have lost a sock though (in the house) & it's baffled me completely.

I saw a hoarding programme recently and the lady had more clothes and shoes than I have ever seen including over 50 odd shoes!

I lost 1 when I was a kid, was playing on a swamp & got stuck in the mud & swallowed up, my mum was not impressed, it did turn up a few weeks later but wasn't wearable. Also a trainer was found in my car after it was stolen, police assumed the thief left it behind when he crashed my wee metro on the roundabout outside the police station & legged it (well probably hopped it as he'd lost a shoe??).
    Booo!!!

Visions of police giving out a call for a hopping car thief :D

Me and my DH are always wondering this! We always seem to be seeing random one shoes, and wondering how on earth they got there!

Although this morning I saw TWO matching shoes on the road, which suprised me more, as it does always seem to just normally be one!

Don't know how many motorcyclists wear six inch stillettos though!

    Really? I know quite a few :p

Not me, though, I can't walk in stillettos any more :(

I lost a shoe once, I was walking home from the pub with some girlfriends, we had had a few and decided to entertain the entire neighbourhood with our rendition of "New York, New York". This perfectly choreographed routine involved linking arms a la petite folie style and high kicking in an LA showgirl / demented goosestep. My "shag me" red stilleto was last seen sailing merrily across a 6 foot wall. PMSL.. thanks for the memory

    Yep, foxes!!!
My sister once spent £80 on a pair of sandals from Dune and they STUNK! I mean eye-wateringly stinky! I chucked them outside the back door. Next morning "where's my shoes?" "On the back door step", "No there isnt, there's only one!". Cue a mega freak out/strop. Ten years later my dad decided to chop back a large bush at the the bottom of the garden. What did he find? My sisters missing sandal, PLUS at least 15 other odd shoes, all the way from baby trainers to steel toe capped boots, complete with teeth marks.....
  • I lost a shoe once walking home in the dark. I stepped in what I assumed was a slight muddy patch but turned out to be rather deep mud which swallowed up my poor shoe. They were gorgeous red glittery pumps which made the loss quite a bit worse :(

We were on a train going to visit some relatives when DD1, then 18 months old, took off one of her shoes and with perfect aim threw it out of the window, which was only open about 6 inches! I didn't bother to pull the cord and go and look for it :D
