To Flying Fresian I have never descaled anything either but you don't usually have to in Scotland as we have soft water, I've just checked my aged kettle and there's no scale in it at all.Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Flying High, here today or rather DH is:j The kitchen is gleaming and while he was cleaning I sat at the breakfast bar and preped veg which we buy by the sack from a friendly farmer with a humongous kitchen garden. DSS is staying with his Aunt tonight so DH and I can have cold chicken and salad for tea, with homemade yogurt for pudding.
I can't Thank You Girls enough for the inspiration that you have provided me with.0 -

I went off list too, and when I got home just after 3 I got changed and tackled the garage. There is still lots of stuff, my late husband was a collector of tat, mostly electrical cabling and fuses, stuff I shouldn't be trusted with. Seems a shame to bin it, but I'll never use it. Don't know anyone who would use it. Suppose I could freegle it.
Anyway, I spent an hour tidying and sweeping the floor which I can now see, before collecting the little moo's from nursery. I even built a fab train track for DS so he is currently flitting between conservatory, playing, and living room, where Nemo is on, and DD is emptying S many jigsaws as she can on the floor...
But the rest of the house is sorted! Just some laundry to put away and finish ironing, which I may do tonight.
It will be my 5th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Feel a bit numb I think. Although I found a couple of pics in the garage from when we first met, which made me smile. We look so young. I feel about 100 now. It's 6 months ago today since they told us they couldn't help him.
Sorry for getting maudlin again xBossymoo

Spent the afternoon at the hospital... two more months of trying not to talk much. Which given I have eight work trips that involve at least one presentation and between two and five client meetings each will be fun
And I have a speech therapy referal to keep me on the straight and narrow.
Came home to get hold of my boss and update him and he's gone AWOL ...0 -

DS1 has his driving test today so any passing vibes very welcome.
Hope he did ok. Supposed to be a better driver for failing though!
Macpep, paid leave for dependents illness is unusual outside the public/highly profitable sectors. Unpaid is legal right for short term absence. My last three companies have understood so no grief but deducted or I have made the time up.
DW on. And I have S&S'd the loo. Too sore/tired for anything else. Stupid fibro.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Thanks Hex, he passed :j:j
Bossymoo hugest hugs sweetie, you are doing brilliantly, be kind to yourself xx
Been over at Mum's sorting out her repaired tv (angry letter and a visit to some other boards on here required next).
DS2&3 have stayed there for tea, DS3 has a sore throat so I'll have to see how he is later.
Managed to get half of the grass finished next door, the rest is so long I'll have to strim it and rake it
Going to do my dinner now and some paperwork in the hour until the younger 2 are back. DS1 and DH both at work until much later. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
