Yay for early payday tho ammonite!! and well done with the % of mortgage!
Good luck with shopping- I am trying to be strict now as we have SO much stuff in the cupboards that aside from some milk, bread and fresh veg plus maybe a few extra bits n bobs of meat/fish we dont "need" anything for a long long time! Let us know how you get on with your £10 challenge!

    Still raining here! :)

Did really well with the shop... £9.92 :D so proud of myself I was very thrifty and stuck to my list deviating only twice for mushrooms and plums and I know for a fact I will definitely eat them (usually end up throwing fresh fruit/veg away!) as making soup tomorrow and got a thing for plums today. Even went to Aldi so it was extra bargainous! :)

Deleted_User - you should join the "im eating out of the cupboards and freezer" challenge on the Food & Groceries board. It has really helped me!

Tilly - Glad to see your leaves are growing. My strawberries have gone red.....hardly any of them though :(

So with the promise of an early payday...I shuffled some money around and waited with baited breath for my money to appear in my account. But of course, banking with Natwest means I'm one of the people who has experienced it's technical failure grrrrrr! Unless a miracle happens and they fix it over the weekend, have zero cash which isn't in an ISA until then!

Just had to ring the mortgage company as the mortgage is due to go out today and even though there is enough money in there without my wages, no direct debits are going out of Natwest either so mortgage company said if the DD is rejected there will be a fee but apparently Natwest should honour it and pay it back and it shouldnt' affect my credit rating with the mortgage company. I made sure I had the guy on the phone put a note on the account to say I was a Natwest customer in advance of any problems so hopefully it will be fine.

    Ok, food parcel eaten :D
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Full Natwest service resumed as of this morning!

£70 to add to the baby fund from eBay sales :D still have more to go on eBay too but nothing too substantial so may make another £50 or so from that.

Still going strong on doo Yoo - averaging around £1 per day. One poll keep getting screened out of - very frustrating!

Done lots of batch cooking for the freezer this weekend :)

Also did car insurance which was £200 cheaper than I expected based on last year so managed to get my car tax with the spare cash :D I'd put all the "spare" that was left over into the mortgage savings fund.

Have you all had a good weekend?

Just worked out that if we used the savings we have accumulated to pay off the mortgage today, we would knock 32 months off the mortgage which is almost 3 years :D

Just had DY payment. Put £40 in mortgage and £10 in baby fund.

Total % of mortgage we have saved has crept up ever so slightly to 7.061%

Up to £32.50 again on DY. Have been keeping up with my average of £1 per day - helped by the odd crown which gives me more. Need £50 to cash out so should be there in 17 days :)

Still waiting for 1poll and quidco to pay up so that is a nice extra to look forward to.
