The long road to being mortgage free!

OK Gally Girl, you're a genius.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:you can fool some of the people all of the time :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Seriously - you count your figures however best works for you. As long as your overall debt is decreasing that's all that matters :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

This is true! Never really see the mortgage as a debt even though its the biggest one I will ever have!
Just spent a year paying back a small parental loan and that was bad enough.
You've fooled me Gally
I feel like I've got a good strategy now. and it's payday in 1hr 28 minutes (not that I'm counting AT ALL!)0 -
Payday! Yipeeeeeeee!
Now have 4.870% of the current mortgage in savings.
Slowly slowly catchy monkey!0 -
Just hit £50 on dooy*o in a relatively short space of time. Think if I keep this level of writing/rating up I can get around £25 a month.
Really pleased with that as I quite enjoy writing on there.
Have got £13 in Ciao which I could cash out too and £32 in Onepoll - getting closer to £40 payout - that will all go in overpay too.
Oh and my cashback of course. This month's Quidco payment is 20p - last of the big overpayers:D:D
Hope everyone else is doing well?0 -
You are doing brilliantly with survey etc. I need to get back in the mind frame again - Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Well done hon. Onepoll seems quite productive at the mo - some weird topics though!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thanks guys. I am glad someone told me to check onepoll throughout the day rather than just morning or night as there does seem to be more and more surveys - agreed some very odd topics!
Tilly - the thought of DooYoo if I am out of the habit makes me think "what a drag" but it is so addictive to see points (and pennies!) increasing that once I get back into it I'm away!
I think I am going to sign up for the Nectar survey site too - all helps doesn't it0 -
Yipeeeeeee! Redeemed £50 of DooYoo cash
Probably taken me 3 months on and off but thats not bad as I don't put a huge amount of time into it each day and often miss days.
Only problem is now I'm back down to £0 its a longgggggg way back up to £50 but I'm really determined!
REALLY suffering with hayfever is anyone else? *atchoo*0 -
Payday number 2 in the ammonite household. We now have 5.05% of the total mortgage value in savings
Had a good day, hayfever seemed to subside, was slightly cooler here than it has been for the rest of the week.
Need to buy OH some bday presents - have £11 Amazon voucher from my last dooyoo redeem so will need to get my thinking cap on (will of course spend more than £11 on him!)
Has everyone else had a nice day?0 -
Not a great deal to report other than we need to spend out some money on the house (decorating, fixing things etc.), to the tune of around £1000 unfortunately.
I'm now off for two weeks so plan to sort out all of the cupboards and be ruthless, if I haven't used it, it's going to be eBayed. Made around £100 on eBay in the last month from selling old stuff, one man's junk is another man's treasure!
We also have to pay out for a wedding (that we are attending), need to stay 3 nights really but are going to try and travel home late on the 2nd day so we save the hotel costs (£80).
We can't decide whether to go away next week. It wouldn't cost much, self-catering in the UK (can raid the freezer), around £200 for the week in a cottage.....but should we save the money and stay at home? Were due to go abroad but we cancelled for various reasons saving around £1500.
Also waiting for £50 DY cash and £26 Chow cash both of which will go into savings.
Also pay money for car insurance etc. annually but save for it monthly and we seem to have been "oversaving"so I have siphoned £200 from that account into the mortgage savings fund.
Needless to say, the mortgage isn't being overpaid but the savings are creeping up slightly. Now have 5.4% of the mortgage saved up.
What is everyone's opinion's on the holiday next week? Will probably cost us around £350 with petrol & random bits to pay for.0
