You might be right Beckyy, I just plugged it into Martin's Loyalty Checker tool and got that:

I was surprised how quickly the 250 points added up. It re-sets on Sunday so anyone else reading make sure you get your 250 points in now!0 -
Hey Ammonite,
How do you get invited to do the adpoints?Slow progress is better than no progress.

I'm not sure really MFB50 - I got an invite via e-mail assumably because I'm a nectar card holder - I would offer to forward it to you but it has a link with a unique code in for registration. I suspect they will soon start offering referrals or open the invitation up a lot wider. I'll keep an eye out for you.
Was sooo tempted to get a Chinese for our guests tonight but that would have been £40-£50 with no pudding. I went to the supermarket and spent about £25 with a pudding, not exactly moneysaving but we'll probably have some left overs and definitely cheaper than a Chinese0 -
Just recycled an old phone and will get £15 in Amazon vouchers. Pleased about this but annoyed I just didn't do it when I got a new phone as I would have got £65 in cash about 2 years ago.
Lesson to you all: search out those old mobiles and flog 'em now!0 -
hmm chinese (your mean tempting me and i'm def not having any)
i keep saying i'll send my phone off and swap it for one of the £7.50 sim ones off tesco, but i havent done it yet, my phones worth £70, and i top it up every 2 months or so so i would acually be better off and i'd use it more if i had free minutes and texts, the 24 month contract puts me off incase i hate the phone, not that it matters a phones a phone and my fancy phones wasted on me, i havnet even been able to find it for 3 weeks because the kids had it for angry birds (must make sure my new phone plays angry birds lol)DEC GC £463.67/£450
EF- £110/COLOR]/£10000 -
ooh yes that reminds me about that e-mail I got too
thanks
EDIT: Just signed up for ad points from Nectar (by invite only at the moment), 250 points to sign up and you can earn 250 points each week watching ads and answering questions. Just took me about 15 minutes to earn my 250 points which equates to £1 in Nectar points, not bad as I was doing other things at the same time and clicking when I needed to. Quite pleased with that as it'll give my Nectar points a boost for Christmas if I do it regularly
Ammonite, did your points get updated immediately? Mine is still staying at zero even after signing up and watching 2 advertisements.
Edit: Have to be patient with adpoints. Points updating after a few minutes delay.Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74

Hello just stopping by to wish you a happy friday!
I got an email earlier this week re: ad points too and have been working my way towards to the weekly limit. I also partake in the canvass stuff so wondered if you get the invite on the back of that? Seems ok so far anyway
Cheers

QuinTwins - We didn't have a chinese in the end but a lovely meal cooked mostly by Mr T's and heated up spectacularly by me
Not sure what to have to eat tonight...decisions!
BookWorm - Hello to you and happy weekendHope adpoints stays as lucrative as £1 (250 points) per week and that it isn't just like this for the first couple of weeks.
As for me, well got a letter to say our line rental was going up by £2.25 per month (Sky) but as I had a deal which meant it was £3 for 12 months (instead of £12.25), I called Sky to check if the rental was going up to £5.25...turns out we are on a price freeze at £3 per month for the next 12 months so I was very pleased about that. It is another £27 saving over the year so I decided to round that up and overpay it.
Not so sure I've done well with nPower, thought I'd got a fix deal but turns out it was variable - I was confused and unsure but rang them and the bloke said his manager would listen to the original call and if I was suitably confused then he would let me move over to the fix (which is now cancelled due to their price hikes yesterday). I'm not holding out much hope but you live and learn, its the first time I've tried to switch tarrif and it HAS to be better than the standard tarrif we've merrily been on for 2 years. They are letting me know on Monday.
No other moneysaving antics other than buying my first Xmas present with Nectar pointswill be having a think about Christmas presents for my other half today too and researching some other presents that I am hoping to buy.

You might not find not being fixed is so bad... I reviewed mine a couple of weeks ago, and the npower deal I was on (sign on line) was over 25% cheaper than the lowest fixed deal. I decided to leave it, figuring that it would be unlikely for prices to go up by 25% this winter (which is the size of the price increases a couple of winters ago) - suspect price increases like that won't happen again as they will be politically difficult.
So far I've been justified, as the price hikes are 8%... but there is a still a long winter to go!!Borrowed £150,000 in an offset tracker mortgage in May 2007 - MFD May 2041 (67)

Thanks Sepa. I think I'm on Energy Online Jan 2014 and the difference was about 18% compared to the fixed. I think they'll force my hand anyway and not let me fix now but I'll know more when (if) they call back tomorrow.
Been using a useful tool lately that I thought I'd share, Camel Camel Camel http://camelcamelcamel.com/
It tracks Amazon prices (which are very variable) on products you want to buy and set a price for what you want to pay. For example, I might want to buy a car seat...it is currently £100. I only want to pay £80. When the price gets to £80 - Camel e-mails me and tells me the price is now £80. It also shows the pricing history of all Amazon items so you can see how realistic it is for the price to come down to £80 on the car seat for example.
It will be particularly handy for Christmas if you know what people want.
Hope it helps someone.0
