The seasons are due to the tilt of the earth
Exactly.....
And the earths distance from the sun, which is down to our elliptical path around it. It's been shown that the positions of various planets/suns/moons has a gravitational effect on us, which over millions of years will alter that path enough to create climate cycles.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I don't think that there is anyone left who denies climate change is happening (but then again it has been happening for at least 4bn years). It is the theory of anthropogenic climate change that is at best dubious and at worst complete bull.
Any close examination of the evidence for manmade climate change shows that we just don't know enough about how the climate works to be able to say anything at all with any certainty about it.0 -

As a scientist I think I will make my decisions based on what I read in the literature not on your conjecture. There really is no valid debate otherwise, human influence is having a measurable impact on global temperature fluctuations.0 -

Scientists often get clouded by trying to prove what they set out to prove, often ignoring data that does not support their case... No matter how valid or important that data may be. It's what keeps the funding coming in.
And this leads me to UK internet censorship, pushed forward by the government, we ALL now view a censored subnet of the internet as a whole.......
Largely implemented by "cleanfeed" under the guise of stopping child !!!!!! and media piracy, it gives the powers that be, the ability to block ANY website they wish for EVERY UK citizen. We let them do it, because we let them brain wash us with tails of internet pirates and hackers, not only us but people within govt have been fooled too.
Soon we won't have access to free information, if that information contradicts the views of certain profiteering individuals, it will be hidden from view.

At least you both have something in common. As your link says, James Delingpole is a writer, journalist and broadcaster who is right about everything. Who can doubt those credentials. Keep the tinfoil hat on.0 -

I call Science Walt.
A closed mind in an area which is such a new "science" and where there is SO little knowledge or observable evidence (as opposed to model output) does not a scientist make.0 -

At least Cleanfeed is, currently, only used by BT. Though there have been at least two documented cases of BT blocking things other than kiddy !!!!!!. There is the blocking, by court order, of the search engine NewsBin because it could be used to find pirated films, and the blocking of internet forum 4chan (now lifted), presumably because it's unmoderated nature means that some subforums on it do see a fair amount of distasteful material, or possibly just because it's associated with Anonymous.
The majority of the UK ISP industry is vehemently opposed to implementing censorship, probably due to the fact that if they censor then they lose common carrier status and become responsible for everything that passes through their network, but it looks like the government will be forcing the matter through soon, all under the guise of stopping teenagers from downloading a copy of The Simpsons Movie because Rupert Murdoch doesn't have enough money already.0 -
^^ Cleanfeed allows websites to be blocked without the ISP even knowing what they're blocking. It works from a list of IP addresses compiled by persons unknown. They could block whatever they like and the ISP will have no choice and no idea of what's been blocked.
It's exactly like the "global warming" thing, spout enough propaganda to get people on side, then implement what you like without telling them exactly what they're backing.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

you could always get a trailer and tow it around , fill it with trees and this will help offset your Co2 output ,0

No, its not a closed mind, its careful examination of the current evidence which is pretty conclusive. Skeptisism is healthy but its not being skeptical when the evidence is so conclusive, its outright denial.0
