USB Debugging

I keep getting a blue screen and a USB debugging msg come up on my laptop, its a Sony Vaio ... On googling I found I may need to download a registry cleaner? Is this simple and what do I use please?

Also does anyone know what it actually means? :o:o

What version of Windows is it? You should be able to get a look at the error message via the Event Viewer.

This has a registry cleaner too!

CCleaner is the number-one tool for cleaning your Windows PC. It protects your privacy online and makes your computer faster and more secure. Easy to use and a small, fast download.

A registry cleaner will not help in this case.

A registry cleaner will not fix the cause of a BSoD - guaranteed.

You need to disable "Automatic restart on system failure" to give you more time to read the error message.

    Copied here to assist OP

    Windows 7

    1. Click on the Start button and then on Control Panel.

    2. Click on the System and Security link.

Note: If you're viewing the Small icons or Large icons view of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Simply double-click on the System icon and proceed to Step 4.

    3. Click on the System link.

    4. In the task pane on the left, click the Advanced system settings link.

    5. Locate the Startup and Recovery section near the bottom of the window and click on the Settings button.

    6. In the Startup and Recovery window, locate and uncheck the check box next to Automatically restart.

    7. Click OK in the Startup and Recovery window.

    8. Click OK in the System Properties window.

    9. You can now close the System window.

From now on, when a problem causes a BSOD or another major error that halts the system, Windows 7 will not force a reboot. You'll have to reboot manually when an error appears.

I think it should be under Windows Logs > System. I could be mistaken though; I haven't seen a BSOD on my own system in quite some time.

one of the error ones say this:

Microsoft Antimalware Real-Time Protection feature has encountered an error and failed.
    Feature: Behavior Monitoring
    Error Code: 0x80004005
    Error description: Unspecified error
Reason: The filter driver requires an up-to-date engine in order to function. You must install the latest definition updates in order to enable real-time protection.
