The blue screen has happened 3 times today! I am wondering as the only 'recent' software has been samsung kies, and my hp wifi printer.. oh and itunes..

This is another 'error' on the log

You'd likely be looking for STOP errors, but as the Event Viewer in Windows 7 is rather unwieldy I'd just as soon use the Debugging Tools to read the minidump files directly.

If you prevent the system from automatically restarting you can catch it in the act. Which is a damn sight easier.

The error you started the thread with suggests a problem with a USB device (or it's drivers). These can sometimes (but not always) be caused by a USB device being unplugged whilst the computer is switched off - the system still thinks it is attached and throws the error when it cannot find it.

If you can grab the exact error message the next time it happens (including any strings of letters/numbers similar to 0x800012AB) it will go some way towards identifying what is causing it.

I have done that so its just a waiting game lol! I have nothing in the usbs.. although I do have the iphone or ipod plugged in sometimes to charge.. although not when it happens.. maybe its something to do with that?

That's a possibility, but could just as easily be a complete red herring.

I haven't no, I tried looking but not sure what to do with it? I do every update that comes up on here..

The blue screen happened today, literally minutes ago and managed to catch here.. I have uploaded the pic to picturetrail and here is the link:

Give this a go to get more details. Would have mentioned it earlier had I been able to remember what it was called...
