Thankyou darlyd I never thought to cover my tracks as it is all above board, they definatley target the wrong people, it never crossed my mind and if I was claiming fraudulently I certainatly would of covered every track, it has been such a horrendous 12 months I really never thought about anything like this

The £260 is separate from the bills I pay, I pay water, gas electric etc all in my name, ooh yes I put that into his account 1st week every month, that's a good thought!!

I suppose the most positive slant that can be put on this difficult situation is that you have evidence that you have paid him for some of the costs, and that it is reasonable for him to provide financial support for his 2 children.

No my name is on most of the bills think its only bt in his name but I pay the bill from my account, I pay £260 a month towards the roof over our head but get no maintenance whilst in his property, If they were watching it would of been over and done with as he only comes to collect the children so that would of answered there querie, it's because his bank account and credit card and loans are still registered here!! X

    Right, this is good :)

You need to gather up all the evidence you can that this is how the finances were split. You could fall on their mercy and say that his paying the mortgage whilst you stayed there for that period of time was in lieu of child maintenance.

Please do not waste your money going to a solicitor, phone your local citizens advice and ask for an appointment with a welfare rights officer.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!
