Bad news about the car hun sorry xx
How about the eBay? If you still have stuff lying around to be listed, just think about it as leaving cash lying around. You wouldn't do that now would you?!

Left for life Down Under 4th August 2012 - living frugally and have learned my lessons :j:j:j:j0 -
Hello!!!!!!!!
Well I have some updates, so I shall go back to where I left things, which i believe was the failed MoT! Well turns out was on a wheel (can't remember what was wrong with it now) & headlamps were too low () so cue me panicking at DH to get it fixed asap as he was going away on Sunday and I didn't want to have to call round garages and sort it out. So he finally found someone who could fix the wheel- aha that was it, it was buckled!- rather than replace it :j so it was £40 for that, and DH then googled how to adjust the headlamps. Turns out the guy doing the mot could have done that in seconds . Anyhow so the car was booked in for Saturday morning to have the wheel fixed & saturday evening at 6pm (squeezed us in!) to be re-tested. So all in all the car cost us £90 to be mot'd better than i thought i suppose.
So Back track again to friday evening and DH was sent to get the cake we'd paid for for DD's birthday- i was entertaining them outside so they were distracted when DH got home and he then took over distracting whilst i went to look. :T:j:T.
Well, my face dropped as soon as i saw it and i was very nearly in tears within 30 seconds of it entering my house:( it was leaning to one side and the colours were awful. Not one bit of pink on there, but rather a peachy coloured frosting that was seperating. I contacted her and told her and was told that dh must have knocked on the way round.
:huh::huh::huh:
So i assured her 'no he took great care in carrying it 2 mins down the road':huh: I then received another message, minutes later- 'you purposely sabotaged it. I knew you were dodgy when you contacted me. You bullied me into giving you a discount so that you could buy it, sabotage it and then ruin me with it. '
:huh::huh::doh::doh::doh::doh::wall::wall::wall::wall: by this point i knew i was dealing with a psychopath :wall: so anyway she said 'fine have my profit back if you like £5 and i won't bother f-ing making them anymore. I hope you're happy with what you've done'
I was so confused, angry and generally peed off i told her to stick it.
Then 11.30 pm i literally broke down and decided to drive to a$da to get ingredients for another cake!!!!!!! So me and DH drive over there, get the stuff, go home and back a decent cake!
Well obviously as it was such short notice i had no place to get figures for the cake so i nicked the one off the cake i had already paid for () so Cinderella got moved from one cake to another.! By the morning i went to check on both cakes, mine was fine, hers, well!!!! It had literally collapsed on one side. The icing had unravelled & the insides were falling out! By this point i was so angry and upset i couldn't even concentrate on DD and her birthdayI messaged stupid woman again and sent her pictures, and again was told there was no way that was going to happen to one of her cakes without me helping it. again, only response here is !!!!!!. So then for around 48 hours we had a pm war going on. I threatened to grass her up for alll sorts of reasons, one main on being she was a crap baker. She decided to 'pursue legal proceedings against me for cyber bullying'.
AGAIN. !!!!!!.
Oh and was also told again........bring me my cake back, with the figures and you can have your money back......RIGHT after i had told her i had to use the figures as i had nowhere else to get them at midnight (grr) so she wanted me to ruin a cake just for her to be happy. So basically ruining 2 cakes ???! I told her that wasn't going to happen as DD would have again been without a cake (well the cake would have looked ruined so i felt i deserved to say that even if not technically true)
True, i said to her, i posted pictures on fb of your cake. I think others deserve to know what they are wasting their money on. All you need to do is apologise & give me my money back. More abuse followed. She messaged me this afternoon with 'come round to mine now, you can have your money back. if you're not here within xx amount of time i am going out' So i had to drop everything (ds2 was nearly asleep & dd was eating lunch & it was raining) and go round to her house. I initially sent ds1 and she ignored the door. So we end up on her doorstep having a huge screaming match. I won. I got my money and I reported her to trading/advertising people. She blocked me on fb and deleted her page.
ALL i wanted was an apology & my money back. WHAT is wrong with people???????????? AND apparantly i am a bully for posting pictures of the cake, and for all my friends making well-deserved comments  SO the cake saga is done. I have £15 back! AND I kept cinderella just because :rotfl:
AGAIN rewind to Saturday and we have DD's pretend birthday as DH was going on Sunday! She opened her pressies and was happy with them all and sat patiently waiting for her grandma & cousin to visit. They turned up at 3pm (wasn't happy with that as we were supposed to be swimming by then) and off we went out half hour later for the pool. DD's cousin was a little brat from the off, she wanted everything dd had in her hand, at various points in day she would just wander off. Then she had ds2 in a head lock hurting him. She constantly kicked the dog, picked up some random cat and threw him :wall::wall::wall: Then when i told her off she would roll her eyes at me. Breaking point came on Sunday when dh had left, and GRANDMA decided to clean her car out AT MY HOUSE. please tell me what the f**k is wrong with cleaning your car out at YOUR HOUSE. ??? .
SO i was left in charge of 3 toddlers. Cousin was rude, obnoxious and petulant over everything. She ruined one of dd's toys out of spite and constantly ignored me. If given squash she would roll her eyes and go 'hmph' and say 'it's not warm, i'm not drinking it' :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall: Believe me when i say there is not a smiley head banging guy big enough just to illustrate how frustrated, upset, tired & annoyed i was by this point. Grandma took FOUR hours to clean the car. The kids had snapped me in 5 mins:(:( They have gone thank the lord! This morning when i asked her what she wanted for breakfast........'oh i'll have that cereal there' ummmmmmm no it's empty you ate it all yesterday........'oh right well i'll have weetabix. i want it warm, i want warm squash and i want it now. i'm hungry.' This demon child is four BTW!!!
Ok and finally onto ebay. I have supposedly made £86 from 3 items :T but after checking the winning bidder for my 53 watchers item he has only one feedback and it is negative:(:( he never paid for the item!!!!!!!!!!!!! As if things couldn't get worse
. so as i thought, i have not been paid for that item. However i have been paid for the second highest item so that has been sent off with a few other cheaper items that were paid for. Still waiting for one 99p item to be paid for too.
FB sales i've made £5 but it was for the ds1 pocket money fund so no cash for me (even though i cleaned all the clothes, ironed and took pictures and deal with all the admin of picking it up *rolls eyes*)
SO that was my weekend. I think it will officially go down as THE worst one in 2012, possibly in the top 10 of my entire life :eek::eek::eek:!!!!!!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Hi DFW
Had to delurk to say what a psycho cake woman sounds!! Imagine if you had actually eaten the cake?? You would have probably ended up in hospital or something. Good on you for getting your money back :T
And as for demon child - if my niece behaved like that - well she wouldn't as she has been taught not to be so rude.
I really hope you have lots of good things on the way to make up for your rubbish weekend.

i know!! i am STILL in utter shock by her! I've never seen customer service like it! she's like the norman bates of the cake industry :eek::eek::eek::eek: And we only didn't eat it cos MIL bakes quite a lot and she was sure it was cooked in the middle! Then a couple of friends pm'd me on fb and said pls don' t eat it it doesn't look right, and then slm messaged me on there too saying she thought the glitter used on the cake was not edible as the whole cake looked like it had been made from the freebies from that cake baking magazine!!!:eek::eek::eek: utterly shocked!!!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000.
