Aww I don't know how I missed your diary updates, sorry DFW
I'm really sad about your Mum's cat too, I don't think I'd be consolable if that had happened to one of my two, they are members of our family and I love them very much. This is one of the reasons why we're going to catproof our garden and not let them roam, I don't think they'd go near a road but I don't trust strangers near my cats.
I hope things have improved with hubby and you've managed to speak to him. Sorry he's being a PITA.

Hello DFW, :hello:
Apologies from me too; missed over a page of updates.. Phew what a lot going on in your life, some good some bad - terrible news about your Mum's poor cat, I hope that was reported to the police! (If for no other reason than that the individual who did it will almost certainly try something similar again, and if not caught later progress to torturing or killing people).
Good news on the [external] financial front, though you are going to have to gird your loins for a difficult conversation with your DH at some point.0 -
Afternoon all
Thanks for popping in all, I've been super busy at home. My energy levels are at an all time low again. I don't know why this continues to happen to me but it does and it always hits at inconvenient times  so i've been trying to keep up with housework, bills, shopping, etc and also finding time to rest as that's the only thing that helps with the energy zaps! Urgh.
Anyway I called SC this morning just in case they hadn't heard from V@nquis regarding the letters we'd received our end. Thank God I did as they didn't know anything about it  and they only have till the 2nd to pay or else (in V@nquis's words, kinda paraphrased ) and whilst I was on the phone he said one of my other creditors had agreed to the lower f&f payment :T it was one of my catalogues so not a huge debt anyway. But nonetheless it's a debt. One that I can very soon say goodbye too  *adios amigos*They have also heard back from one of our larger ones. They said they haven't agreed to it but are willing to agree to a slightly larger amount. They didn't specify what and I didn't even think to ask at the time :doh:but I think they have given them until August sometime to reply to the f&f letters. Once they date they specified is up I think they are calling me to let me know what they have -which ones are yay, and which ones are nay (bu99ers) so that's where I'm at with that!
Lady who I am babysitting for in September has confirmed amounts she will pay me and so I can start to add this into my budget soon :T I am aiming to save 50% of it though. But as always will have to see where my budget is at closer to the time (and how many debts we still have outstanding)
It is DS2 actual birthday next week so I am planning on taking him to the cinema as I did with DD. He is insisting on seeing Wolverine, even though it is a 12A. I'm not sure how old they need to be to go in when it's a 12A, anyone else know? I'm sure when they were first introduced and I tried to take my then 7 year old I was frowned upon. I don't like being frowned upon so will check that out. We would let him watch it at home as he's seen every other super hero movie going but not sure about cinema. Otherwise it will be despicable me 2 (which I want to see anyway ) We saw monster's university for DD's b-day and we all had great fun so i'm sure he won't be too disappointed either way.
I called my mum today, she seems ok after poor cat incident. She'd had him nearly 10 years poor thing. He's safely buried now though, hopefully deep enough so the foxes don't get him. Good lord I can just imagine my mother's face if that happened . I'm planning on seeing her next week and we're trying to plan a cheap-ish day to London to see the Olympic Park as I hear it's opening to the public next week. Am unsure if it's free or not? Hope so. I've also booked panto tickets but as that's December I suppose I ought find something a little closer to August to do. I'm thinking about the local zoo (although we're thoroughly bored of it really as we've been so many times) the library, to take part in the summer reading challenge, swimming, visiting grandparents, beach, local beauty spots and that is as far as I got with cheap-ish summer treats
hmmm.
I need to check my bank balance but I think it's low, very low. But considering we're a few days from payday I guess I should be thankful it's not gone below zero!
DS1 report came in! Very good :T no wonder i'd had phone calls saying he was playing up. He was clearly bored. Every subject teacher has said that he'd already done the topics at his boarding school before leaving and that the lessons were 'sound revision' for what he'd already learned (or to that effect). Pfft. what 14 yr old likes revising! I'm hoping the next school after this in-betweener school is up to speed on things.
Oh must share with you the food budget this month. This is just my guesstimate but I think that this is nearly correct (dh doesn't keep receipts! But i've tried to tally up as we went along) £750+. Considering we have nearly a week left so need another top up shop before payday I would say he's done awfully BAD. There is nothing left in my store cupboard nearly and he did no topping up of it (what do we need 10 cans of spare soup for) :wall::wall::wall::wall:_pale__pale_. Needless to say DH will never again be doing the food shop. EVER again. Never, ever, never. Take this as my word ladies & gents. Never again!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. £750 is an awful lot - wow. How does he think he has done?
We have been to your town today for the first time - we visited your free museums and visited the park. We used our free train tickets and had great timeGlad to home on sofa as feet hurt.

Blimey! I think you beat Brizzled there on the food :O
Congratulations on the small f&f victories. Hurray for good school report and happy birthday DS2. You can take him to the cinema accompanied for 12A films, I can't remember how old he is but I would assume something like 10y/o for a 12 would be fine. Depends how grown up he is and what he normally watches on tv I guess.
Hope your mum enjoys the visit, not sure on the Olympic Park does it not say on their website? I went to the one in Montreal and you could walk round for free but going in cost pennies so I just enjoyed the sunshine.
Have a lovely weekend, weather looks to be holding yayand sooo much nicer temperature now too

My ds2 is THREE!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: He will be FOUR on monday and I keep explaining to him that he is only 4 but he doesn't quite get it bless him he honestly thinks he is older and can do older things :rotfl::rotfl:hence why i'm a little bit wary about taking him to see Wolverine :rotfl:
And the food shopping. I bet I beat everyone on these here boards this month for that. Thank Penny
More money news because i've not had 5 mins to myself all week to sort anything out!!
Park i've paid up £45 still need to find £45 (tenancy money when it comes in)
Np0wer are paid up for their final bill £120  all put by though thankfully so nothing over and above what I was already expecting.
Still need to take out £50 and put it into the car tax fund!
I'm pretty much broke now till pay day! Tenant owes £90 still and £45 is accounted for (park) everything else (i think) has been paid this month so that other £45 will go into the emergency fund to cover what I took out for panto tickets (def not an emergency was it oops!)
Downtime on here soon! And typically the only day/evening I get rid of the kids for a few hoursoh well i'll be off to have another bash at candy crush then
am stuck on level 350 and it's infuriating me!!!
