Wow super busy weekend, and super busy week ahead. This is the first time i've had 30 mins to myself since Friday morning! DD went to a party on Friday straight after school so that set me up for the weekend with a headache :eek::rotfl: On Saturday I went to London to watch my dad compete in a weightlifting competition. Very hot, Very sweaty gym. Lots of big muscly men and it was far too small to hold everyone comfortably (well I don't think the heat helped with this...) was very proud of him though he broke 5 British records in his weight/age category and I was also super proud of DD & DS2 as they came with me and were perfectly behaved (nearly :cool:) all day :T:T:T
DH was at work all Saturday night on call, he had to drive to Wales to pick up a bloke who came off sas selection from his battery. He had heat strokeBut he should think himself lucky as 2 others died. They are denying it was heatstroke atm but everyone here is saying different (i.e it was and they want to cover their backs.) Very sad
Sunday DH was on call again but we were naughty and went to the beach (nearest one is 15 min drive) under the guise we could get him back super quick if he was called in againhe wasn't called so we had about 4 hours there paddling and building sandcastles :T we came home for a BBQ (All DD'd planning as it was HER b-day weekend:rotfl:). I was manically washing/cleaning/ironing/getting school things organised in between all this all weekend. Then last night we managed to get them to bed by 6.30 :T spent an hour wrapping presents (she didn't have that many but I couldn't find normal sellotape so was using this super sticky packing tape :rotfl: it took me forever to do
) and after that we baked her cake :j I went straight to bed after (that was Saturday and Sunday I was in bed by 9pm
)
Today i've had a meeting at the school, done the gym, 2 washes, hoovered, iced cake & decorated it and need to head back to school for 2.30. The next person who says to me that I have a nice easy life as a SAHM is welcome to take over for a few weeks (probably DH)as I'm shattered!!!!!!
I've not had a chance to catch up with any diaries, I will have a quick look now but only have 15 mins left before I need to leave again! Ahhhhhhhhh I want a day off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

brizzle my friend says the same. She'd rather work so she can get out of the house and away from all the mundane jobs (which she pays her nanny to do!)
Well this morning i've called and confirmed number for the birthday party on Sunday. Thanks to DH inviting extras (family) it's bumped the bill up a bit. So £70 to pay on the day. £110 altogether for 13 kids, and I still need to sort out a cake :cool:
Also had a meeting with DS2 nursery teacher. I wasn't expecting much as he's only been there since Easter but he's proven himself to be a competitor for most outspoken class member :eek: BUT she assured me it was in a good way that he interacts, asks tonnes of questions and is actually keen to hear the answers. So phew. He's a little monkey at home answering back so thankfully he doesn't do it (very much) in nursery. And his vocabulary is fantastic for his age :T Unfortunately he still holds pencils like they are cans of coke but hey ho can't have it all :rotfl:
I've got another meeting just after lunch with his new teacher (all dd's are done now as are ds1 meetings so this is the last thankfully!!!) and then the gym. Kids don't break up until Tuesday even though lots are breaking up today all around them!??! DS2 will miss his birthday in school so i'm thinking i might send some sweets in for kids like dd did or he will feel left out (still have some from dd bringing them in too so no cost) House needs gutting from top to bottom. Wondering if I should just do minimum as it will need doing again after the BBQ on Sunday (which dh is steadily inviting everyone too :mad:)
Wedding ring never found.
Had a horrid phone call yesterday from my sister. Our mum's cat had been found not dead but in a really bad way. Vet said three options were viable as to what had happened. 1-it was run over (cat has never been near or on the road though but could be possible) 2-it had fallen from a big height. 3- someone had done this to the catall injuries were internal and he'd gone into shock. Lost all his back claws (which is why the vet thinks perhaps not a car accident) and the injuries weren't consistent with a fall. But all are possible. I felt sick to the stomach when we realised what he was trying to say was he thought someone had actually done this to the cat. How sick are some people?? We hope obviously it wasn't this and sister is off to see how cat fared overnight. I'm not holding my breath
also mum had no insurance so bill will be huge. I don't know whether to dip into f&f funds to help out. Think I will see what happens today and how big the bill is first.
:( so sad.
Will leave it on a brighter note though, sun has been out every day. I've got all my washing dried in minutes and kids have enjoyed free entertainment each night in the form of the paddling poollong may it continue :T i've had nsd's but haven't kept a note of them so will scrap it for this month. I've been watching the pennies even though things aren't super tight for once but i've had this happen before and then everything goes wrong the month after so i'm not taking chances
all extra money has gone to emergency funds (see sig :T)

Wow just got a delivery from DR. One that I didn't order. Remember DH being in charge of grocery budget????? *fuming*
He's spent in excess of £300 on just meat this month. Forgotten things like sauces, herbs, fresh stuff that needs buying each month and has blown the whole budget on meat and alcohol (plus what ever he has in his account)£146 worth of meat just arrived in the form of steaks, fancy prawns (around £1 a prawn) and burgers. FOR the BBQ that random friends and family will all be eating. Perhaps i'm being out of order here but i would have just bought iceland foods in and told them to bring their own alcohol
. He's also booked car in for service & mot because he couldn't be bothered to service it himself. Even though he's done it the last 3 or 4 times himself with no probs. He lied about his money that he got, that much is clear. I'd like to know how much he did get just to see to what extent the lies go. I feel so betrayed right now
