He obviously doesn't know anything of the such and is probably just making a typical ignorant Daily Mail style post.
As for the record, Doctor's do not give out the Disabled Blue Badges, you apply to either your local council authority or apply online at the government website http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/disabledpeople/motoringandtransport/dg_40010610 -
Know for an absolute fact people use deceased relatives badges after talking to patients whilst doing a study. Also know my grandad carried on using my grandmas. Please don't tell that people don't do this! However I completely don't agree with this and it winds me up when non badge cars park blatantly in my local leisure centre in disabled parking. However on a different note, why is there so many? clearly there aren't going to be 10 disabled people going to the gym simultaneously!Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

You can have incontinence problems and need to run to the toilet yet not have a bb. I have bladder problems and when I need to go I need to go.
So to expand the discussion, what to do once I get there, if the gents are full then the disabled toilets are fair game to me as they are not specifically for disabled users only
Incontinence IS a recognised disability. While its true that accessible toilets are not only for the disabled, anyone with a hidden disability like incontinence should not accept any nonsense from others about using them. Besides, accessible toilets are usually the only ones that have facilities for disposal of used nappies/pads.0 -
>no obvious disabilities
say it all. What would you prefer? only one legged people to get blue badges. Some days I can walk from my car unaided, other days I have to use two sticks, some days I lay in bed all day, imobile.Went shopping this afternoon and parked near some disabled spaces. I noticed 2 or 3 able bodied people getting out of cars with blue badges on the dashboard. One chap must have been in a hurry and practically ran into the supermarket. I am talking single occupant able bodied people with no obvious disabilities. Saw a similar thing on the way out.
In the meantime an older chap had to struggle to get his wife into her wheelchair - in a non-disabled spot.
Note I am not complaining about the blue badge spaces, just the abuse of the system!

I didn't say I was incontinent, just that I have bladder problems.
When I have to go I have to go, crossing my legs does not work lol.
So no I don't have a radar key.
Also for the thread, it is also worth noting that there are many thousands of people with mobility difficulties that have not got a BB, difficulties that can be worse than some that have them but could not satisfy the examination at the time.
My daughter has fibro and a lot of the time can barely walk but because she has good days - even good weeks she will not get a badge.
Pity, could be useful at Sainsburies0 -

My son (aged 6) has duchenne muscular dystrophy and has a blue badge. If he's having a good day he can be off and running - on a bad day he's in the wheelchair and can barely walk. We use the blue badge even on a good day as if his legs get tired it can cause irreperable damage to his muscles (his body doesn't make the dystrophin that repairs muscles).
If you saw him on a good day without the chair there is no way you would think there is anything wrong with him and we often get glared at for using the disabled spaces.0 -
arent we all equal ? or are some MORE equal than others? i dont look at a blue badge holder as someone with a disibility or has severe illness .. look at them with dignity (due too their own personal suffering )and that they are no less a person in "life" than i;... it truely doesnt matter what shape or form you take WE ARE EQUAL ; we all have the same basics needs , and should not treat ANYone any less than how we would like too be treated ourselves;NSD = 3/31 spent = £97.88/31 groceries = £26/31 fuel =2/31
