Morning lovelies :hello:
pigpen glad you had a good nights sleep, it makes all the difference, thinking of you x
Well I've got a list as long as my arm today it's probs gonna take me 20 mins to type it out lmao, mind you if I don't I'll forget something and I really want to achieve a lot today, I've been slacking off but getting my car back (yay) last night has cheered me up no end (it must have been getting me down) so I'm happy about that.
Here goes:
* No study so I'll tackle the bathroom/cloakroom instead
* Hang washing out Done
* Clear stairs of shoes/coats/junk etc Done
* clear landing of junk Done
* bathroom *groan* Done
* Cloakroom
* clean front door window Done
* Tidy living room Done
* fold/put away any stray clean washing Done
* strip DD#2's bed Done
* wash the above in now
* Wash car
* wash inside of car (it's mingin and mouldy due to sitting un-used for 3 months)
* fix car CD player (I can't drive without my music) it wouldn't fix :mad:
* Go to shops Done
* make master bed Done
* Gym session
* Sort out box of junk in shed
* DW Done
* WM x 1 Done and in dryer
* Check oil/water/washers in car
* hoover through downstairs Done
* hoover stairs/landing Done
Think that's it, if I get all that done it'll be a bloomin' miracle, but I'm gonna try my best as all of the above really do need doing today. Best get to it then
laters ladies :wave: x0 -
Morning all. Late post from me but it's been one of those morning with DD :mad:
Pigpen - glad your feeling better this morning.
:grouphug: to all...my brain isn't firing on all cyclinders at the minute so I can't remember what else I wanted to put to individuals :mad::rolleyes:
Anyways I have a bit of catching up to do (not because I want to but because I NEED to) especially as I've declared tonight as "DATE NIGHT!"It's about time OH and I spent some time together which doesn't involve talking about DD or surfing the net or staring at the TV
The reason I declared it? I realised thanks to the girly chat I had yesterday that OH and I are stuck in a really deep rut and it's going to take some getting out of (I knew this but it took a person outside of the relationship to say it to make it sink in :rolleyes::o ) BUT I want this relationship to last, as does OH, but we really need to make the effort to spend US time instead of "mummy & daddy" or "housewife / worker" time ...if I can get this through to OH tonight I'll be a very happy bunny
So I have a long list of things to do today and I've already achieved some of it :j

Pigpen - not posted for a while but wanted to say I hope you are ok.
Not posted because I have just been too busy and the new structure just doesn't work with my current situation. I am slowly sinking! Since moving house the amount of cleaning I need to do has doubled, I have gained quarter of an acre of garden to look after (:j ) and I foolishly agreed to increase my hours at work.
Last week I re-assessed. I have been a SAHM/Part timer for four years now after leaving a fairly high flying career. In that time if I am brutally honest I have turned into a steadily fatter self neglecting scummy mummy- does anyone want to join me in an OS style body de-clutter?
I have got work to agree to take the bit of my job I don't enjoy off me, and to cut my hours back down to two days a week from April, and I have taken a couple of days off next week to either sort the garden or the house without mummys little helpers.
Jobs for today - general clean pending visitors tomorrow. They wouldn't care in the least if it is a mess, but I do so we are cracking on. Feel free to kick me if you see me back on here before 2pm.
Does picking four vases of daffodils qualify as cleaning? The previous owner seems to have been obsessed with them..... and I hate yellow.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

I totally agree with you about the date night thing. We have a ban on talking about the children after they have gone to bed, and a ban on talking about work in bed. We try to alternate having tea with the children, and eating dinner on our own at the dining table after they have gone to bed. Music, reading and tv at the dining table are banned, as is referring to one another as mummy/daddy. Works for us.

:rolleyes: Well I'm back and having a recovering coffee, whopping great big bruise on my arm starting, that nurse was evil :mad: it's very sore and no doubt going to hinder getting work done. Got a list a mile long for DP to do when he gets up, will wake him after my coffee and be nice with a coffee for him so hopefully he'll be in a good motivated move (as I'm not) I also need to fit in some study time as got another TMA due and done naff all of it :eek:
Oh I forgot as soon as DS1 came in and seen the room he screamed and said he didn't want to share a room any more (it was their idea) I don't think he anticipated how much it was going to change, but he's been told tough, I'm not moving the furniture again (which involved taking it all apart due to space on landing etc) :rolleyes:
With the desk clearing I also did a virus check and hard drive clean up, you can tell the kids have been on this PC, 45 threats healed!
Nicki, hope you have a nice evening, me and DP have started trying to have some time together day time whilst the boys are at school (don't have evening babysitter and he works weekend evenings) we have started this one day a week and it really has helped a lot. Unfortunately I can't see it happening next week with all the decorating etc. We also sometimes have dinner just the two of us, works well sometimes.One day I might be more organised...........

I've also managed to have a bath, and make gravy for the stew that cooked overnight in the SC, then box it up for the freezer. Baby purees for today are in pots defrosting, although DH appears to have misplaced one of the lids. :eek: Me and baby are both dressed nicely for our visitors, and if all i manage to do is wash up and run the hoovver around, then it will look suitably presentable.
Hex - i like the idea of a body declutter. I often feel like a scummy mummy. Yesterday i used a blackhead strip thing while i bathed baby, and then smothered on loads of handcream before bed while i watched hotel babylon. I think i am going to try to do something pampering every day, as i have let myself slip and bubs is only 41/2 months.
My pamper today: wash my hair, defuzz before my bridesmaid trial weekend, put more handcream on, [STRIKE]remember to wear gloves when washing up[/STRIKE].Have a fab day everyone
Michelle, x0
