    Hi All

My first day as a newbie fly lady but gonna give it my best shot. I'm only starting from Today's list as I'll get too overwhelmed if I try to play catch up so here goes:-

    Wednesday
Master Bedroom/Stairs/Landing/Checking lights & fire alarms

    1. [STRIKE]Change bedding[/STRIKE] Done
    2. Vacuum floor and mattress (turn mattress if required)
    3. Tidy under the bed, vacuum if you can
    4. Dust (any pictures, shelves, ornaments, clocks, tvs, wardrobe tops etc)
    5. Tidy away anything that isn't in it's proper place (from bedside tables etc)
    6. Make sure all clothes are put away and you can close the drawers/wardrobes!

Vacuum stairs, make sure they are clean (and safe)
Clean skirting boards up the stairs
    Clean, tidy and vacuum landing
Check all lights and lamps, if any need new bulbs replace or add to this weeks shopping list if you have none
Check all fire alarms, test and replace battery where needed

    My List

    [STRIKE]General Tidy [/STRIKE](think this is S&S in Flylady speak :) )
    [STRIKE]Put washing away from yesterday[/STRIKE]
    Do 2 more loads today
    [STRIKE]Peg out washing[/STRIKE]
Clean bathroom - needs really good clean
    Do filing
Put my B'day things away (got a little pile of birthday gifts to put in right place)
    [STRIKE]Do handwashing[/STRIKE]
    Vacum Done Downstairs
Go into town for bits and bobs
Look into finding a cheaper phone package.

Hope you all achieve your goals today and good luck :T

Dailies have been done, dog walked and bedding is on the washing line but otherwise not much flying so far but I have managed to get George Michael tickets so the time spent on the phone / internet was worthwhile - this MSE site is fab:j :j :j

Hi  Feeling very virtuous and smug as I've done ALL of todays list :A

    Wednesday
Master Bedroom/Stairs/Landing/Checking lights & fire alarms

    [STRIKE]1. Change bedding

Check all lights and lamps, if any need new bulbs replace or add to this weeks shopping list if you have none[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Check all fire alarms, test and replace battery where needed[/STRIKE]

However, I have a confession to make. I've not been setting a very good example to new flyers as I didn't do yesterdays or the day before :o

Will make amends this afternoon. Promise.......;)

    Hiya
This is a bit off thread but do I remember reading on here a while back about someone finding needles in their garden and contacting someone from the council? My parents have found some in their front garden and the council say it's nothing to do with them. Any information would be appreciated.
    Thanks xx

Good morning (just) to all flyers :D

Is it reallly only 11.31 as I start this  Feels about 2pm! Anyways, been to the meeting and the headmaster loved the new look for the school website...so glad I spent last night drawing up sketches :D Helps that he's much more computer literate and "up on things" than the old headmistress seemed to be (although she was a lovely lady and is missed!) He's going to get some info together from teachers, and the history of the school and then it's up to me to take photos, make the website up, and try to keep it updated  I think it may be a case of pop in once a week and grab all the letters from that week and spend an hour or two updating it on a Friday evening ;) Guess whats being added to my list of jobs over the next few weeks ;):rotfl::rotfl:

Also managed to go and do a "weekly" shop - spent another £27.21 but it's mostly fruit & veg, and cleaning stuff (soap powder, washing up liquid, toilet cleaner  ) so not too bad.

My ebay parcel has just arrived - first of 2 lots of clothes for DD. Some of it might not quite fit, but for £10 total for NEXT / Adams labels I'm not complaining :D

Right, going to wash some dishes, put the second load of the day in the WM and then I might get around to doing some flying.

    Lets see :
    Monday
    Living Room/Dining room

    1.
[STRIKE]Vacuum living room thoroughly including under furniture[/STRIKE] - Swept it instead, will hoover next week.
    2. [STRIKE]Dust ALL surfaces and polish wooden furniture[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] 3. Hoover sofa and check under seat cushions for lost items, wipe if required[/STRIKE] - will do next week when I hoover ;)
    4. Sort [STRIKE]mail and do filing[/STRIKE] None to do :D
    5. [STRIKE]Clean television screen, dvd players, digi boxes etc etc [/STRIKE]
    7. [STRIKE]Clean inside of windows[/STRIKE]
    8. [STRIKE]Sort any magazines/books lying around [/STRIKE]
    9. [STRIKE]Clean any mirrors/clocks (yes that includes dusting the tops)[/STRIKE]

    Dining room
    1.
    [STRIKE]Hoover[/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]Dust[/STRIKE]
    3. [STRIKE]Clean table and replace tablecloth[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE] Don't forget those dailies and night time routines. If you have the time try to also tackle one hotspot today downstairs.[/STRIKE] - did the ebay pile

Tuesday - Kitchen, downstairs loo and hall

    Kitchen
    1. Wipe down all worktops, cupboard doors, and windowsill.
    2. Clean top of cooker, inside of fridge and microwave.
    3. Clean sink, draining board and wash any plastic drainers/cutlery holders.
    4.
[STRIKE]Sort out fridge make sure anything that needs using soon is at front[/STRIKE]
    5. [STRIKE]Clean floor.[/STRIKE] - swept & mopped yesterday when doing the livingroom.

[STRIKE]Downstairs toilet (if you have one) [/STRIKE] Don't have one.

    Hallways/Porches/Entrance ways
    1.
[STRIKE] Clear any clutter from hall[/STRIKE] N/A as there's no room!
    2. [STRIKE]Sort shoes/coats/bags/accessories - does all that is in there belong in there, is your hall a safety hazard and can somethins be moved to change that[/STRIKE] N/A - these are kept under the stairs
    3. [STRIKE]Vacuum hallways, mop/wash if hard floors.[/STRIKE] swept & mopped yesterday :D

[STRIKE] If you fancy an extra job, under stair cupboards/other storage areas, what's lurking? Sort any clutter for ebay, freecycle, charity etc make sure you can close the door after sorting through, without standing something against it![/STRIKE] Done Sunday, well apart from decluttering. Will do that when this pile of ebay stuff has gone :rotfl:

    Wednesday
Master Bedroom/Stairs/Landing/Checking lights & fire alarms

    1.
    [STRIKE]Change bedding[/STRIKE] N/A - done Sundays

    [STRIKE]
Check all lights and lamps, if any need new bulbs replace or add to this weeks shopping list if you have none[/STRIKE] - We only have ones we need so if a bulb goes it gets replaced straight away....and I have plenty in stock :rotfl:
[STRIKE]Check all fire alarms, test and replace battery where needed[/STRIKE] - Done monthly. Batteries are changed on Time Change Sunday ;) so thats twice a year!

OKay, need to do dailies, and then I'm tackling the kitchen list and planting some seeds (just bought another window propergator from Aldi...fantastic at only £1.99!) Might attack the last flowerbed as well then so I can get sowing out there as well. I'll do the master bedroom when we do the kids - both are tidy, and the "put winter bedding" bit involves stuff in both rooms and under our bed as well...as far as I can work out, unless I make room in DD's wardrobe

Right, KITCHEN *boots self* OUCH!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Good luck for today Debbycatz.. Just do what you can today.. it will come around again next week, that is my mantra."it will come around again next week" ."it will come around again next week" ."it will come around again next week"....:D when I get a feeling of failure or panic because I have so many other things to do.

I love it when the sun shines, I seem to be in a beter mood and get lots more done!! I have a whole load of towels hanging outside on the line, WM on with bedding, windows are open to air the house, done the bedroom

    Still to do:
    hoover
go to bank to deposit cheque
make fishcakes for tea (with millet mash and salad)
ironing ironing ironing (I have been looking at that basket for days now.. and it isn't getting any smaller by itself:mad: )
homebaking (kids complaining there isn't anything "nice" to eat in the house, meaning sweet and unhealthy) Plenty of fruit in the house, oatcakes etc but not hitting the spot obviously

LJD1 I used to work for my local council and they have a special service to come and pick up used needles as you need special gloves and disposal boxes/units. Give your council a call.

After feeling unwell half the night, my cold seems to be finally getting better today. Still don't feel very energetic, so I'm doing something, then having a half hour rest!! Bet it's all the waiting around in doctors' surgeries and hospitals with DS1 this past two weeks - shouldn't really go anywhere near the places unless you're really really fit!

Despite saying 'Don't play catch up' to the newbies, I'm sorry to say that my cloakroom and bathroom are so awful, they just have to be done today. I've done the cloakroom, and will do the bathroom as soon as DD removes herself from it.

I've already done a speed clean of the sitting room, and hoovered downstairs. Would very much like to know where those festoons of spider webs in the fireplace appeared from.

Ooh, the sun has just come out! I always feel better when the sun shines - off to do lunch, then the bathroom awaits.
