Blimey! I've done my list for today AND made two loaves of bread, a LIDL shop for fruit, planted up a square foot garden and deforsted the freezer - I herebye swear never to let my freezer go for so long before defrosting - it was awful but there's enough food there for another freezer challenge next week - this time everything is labelled so it will be better
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Hi All
Just came across this thread and found it really interesting. I'm always struggling to fit chores in around work so I'd love to join in this thread if I can. I'm not too sure of the 'rules' tho' - I have looked for a sticky or thread that explains it all, but can't find oneSorry if I just haven't looked hard enough - perhaps someone can point me in the right direction or explain what happens to me.
I noticed this thread for Monday but couldn't see one for TuesdayIs there just one thread a week etc. Some of the lists seem awfully ambitious to achieve in a day
Hopefully someone will be able to explain more to me
Many thanks :T0 -

I got most of my list ticked off today.. apart from cleaning the inside of the fridge.. it needs a new bulb as well so i'll add that to tomorrow. The hallway hasn't been done but I have vacuumed my room, washed my sheets and duvet cover, wiped down the stairs, must vacuum them tomorrow though. 6 loads of washing and drying.
I need to make up my bed now and find the uniforms for tomorrow and put the dinner pots in the DW and I can do nothing for the rest of the evening.. how good is that?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Hi Debbycatz
There is a new thread each week, at the end of the day the jobs for the next day are added on. You just jump in on whatever day you're starting, don't try and play catch up as everything comes around again next week. It can seem daunting at first but once you've started it takes less time to do things each week. Don't worry if you don't get everything on the list done (like me;) ) but just do what you can.
There's plenty of people on here to answer questions so don't be afraid to ask!

hi Debbycatz first of all welcome on board! ok - i have been doing this since the new year but it was only last week that my bedroom was as it should be - i just kept plugging away each week when it came up - clearing hotspots - there were lots  and tidying. I never carried it over just did it when it came up. so when it comes up this week it will take less than half hour i reckon. I have 2 under 4 so rarely complete a list as i much prefer playingbut my house is now presentable and some days v tidy!!
So we have one thread a week - don't play catch up - if you don't get jobs done they will come up next week you can be sure the dust will still be there!! 'babysteps' - take it slow and just do what you can. its the kitchen today and i won't get the cupboards wiped but i did sort the fridge this week!! - so you see it comes up each week - sorry am rambling!
the first post will be updated each day ( thanks moggins and lil_me) so you can find any explanations there and also the cleaning list is posted the night before by about half 9 so at the mo there is mondays and tuesdays and the days are usually in different colours.
hope i haven't missed anything out but just ask if i have!!
happy flying - i'm off to finish the worktops and do the ironing for tomorrow!! before having an early night
pigpen  how much have you done today - i thought you'd been quiet
juliejim sorry to repeat you - when i started you hadn't posted!! it does take me a while sometimes!0 -
Argh when I get chance to post it plays up!
Right first of all welcome to all the new flybabes, pleased to see the girls have made you feel very welcome
Sorry, been chaos here, several appointments and barely had chance to sit down until now never mind switch PC on. Have been trying to get some things done tonight, still a few to do but boys are in bed now, so will make that easier!
I have posted tomorrows list (on the first thread as usual) few additions inc a suggestion from Rach with the fire alarms (thanks rach!), a new one from me with light bulbs, if anyone else has suggestions please feel free to let me know. This is for everyone, so input is valuable. If there is somewhere we're missing let me know. One day I might be more organised...........

Tomorrows lists up, you've achieved what you have done, look at it that way instead of the negative what you haven't done! One day I might be more organised...........

I also spent 1.5 HOURS on the phone :A AND an hour asleep in bed this afternoon while DD5 had her nap.. I really need an extension landline upstairs in my room.. how difficult can it possibly be to rig one up?? I might give it a go.. I'm not utterly helpless lol
Tomorrow when DD goes down for her nap I am hoping to get my paint stripper out and strip the window frame in the bathroom and the bath. We have a beautiful original enamel bath with ball and claw feet which the monger who lived here before painted with green hammerite!!!! The sink brackets came up fabulous when I stripped them so I'll give the bath a go.. can't make it worse and DH was after sanding it all off!!!!!!
Question scrubbers...
HOW do I get the limescale dribbles out of the inside of the enamel bath?? Vinegar didn't work and neither did harpic!!
