I am glad I am not the only one with a garden full of mud!!! I have three beautiful Golden Retrievers who I have to say one still's digs a little (the youngest does she will be 3 this year), thankfully they do grow out of it eventually.
We have sectioned our garden into two parts one for the trampoline etc and the other for the dogs, thankfully we have a 250ft garden so this is not to difficult, I do keep putting seed down but like everyone else has advised it does take quite a while to establish.
Good luck0 -

i wouldent be comfortable with those dogs around my kids.
and please dont be naive in thinking that Rottweilers are the soppy dog you claim them to be, why do you think there classed as a dangerous dogs??

I think you have to take each dog on it's own merit, if they are correctly trained and been brought up with kids then there is no reason why any dog/animal should not be around kids, obviously they should be supervised at all times but from what has been posted before these dogs in question are and are a well loved part of the family.
I don't have rottweilers but have many friends who do, each of these dogs are so well trained it's unreal, unlike my three naughty dogs. who would more like accidently hurt you in the rush to greet you for affection.
Sadly there are bad owners out there who give the rest of us bad names.0 -
Where is it stated officially that Rotts are "dangerous dogs"?
They're not on the Dangerous Dogs act list.....what makes you such an expert?Have you actually checked out any bite stats?Or ever actually been anywhere near a Rott? There are thousands of attacks by the usual family pets but are they front page news?No because " retriever bites tot" just doesn't have the same ring to it as "devil dog mauls baby" does it?
You call me naive?Excuse me but do I actually know you?Do you have a clue about me and my family? You are ignorance personified and pass comment on something you quite obviously know naff all about.
You say you wouldn't feel comfy having your kids around "those" dogs....when you've never even SEEN my dogs.People like you make me sick, honestly you do.Jumping on the media hype bandwagon and condemning two family pets?
For heavens sake....why not stick to passing judgement on things you actually know something about?Like I originally asked....grass...know anything about that?Oh yep silly me...concrete...that was your suggestion wasn't it.Gee thanks:rolleyes:New Year~New Start!!

i could say the same about you.
some dogs are vicous killers, them dog breeds you own have been known to bite, maim and kill.
but thats ok , cos there `cute and cuddly and well trained` and they wont possibly hurt anyone.
staying on topic, you could always lay down some tarmac. No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
I asked you a simple question.Where officially ie.NOT the tabloid press:rolleyes: does it state either breed are "dangerous dogs"?New Year~New Start!!

Hi I am interested in this fake grass as I have two dogs and our garden is like a quadmire we were thinking of decking a section and also flagging a section but also putting some of this fake grass down too.
What is everyones experience of this fake grass i.e. is it easy to lay, how do you lay it, how does it stay down, is there different grades/qualities and if there is what quality would you recommend for two dogs with regards to wear and tear.
Just to comment on the dangerous dogs list there are only 4 breeds of dogs that are on this list which are
1. The pit bull terrier
2. Japaneses Tosa
3. the Dogo Argentino
4. the Filia Braileiro
(taken from the Defra website)
All dogs have teeth and therefore are all capable of biting.
Just a tip too about the wee staining the grass give your dog some tomato juice or sardines/mackerel in tomato sauce it does work.

Good old google!:rotfl: You could get google to agree with you on anything you searched for.If I was to type in Rottweilers are NOT dangerous dogs I could get some reports to bore you with....
A US report I see...which actually towards the end states,and I quote...
The authors pointed out that many breeds are involved in fatal attacks. The death rate from dog bite-related fatalities (18 deaths per year) in the 6-year study period remained relatively constant compared with the prior 10 years. The authors emphasized that "most of the factors contributing to dog bites are related to the level of responsibility exercised by dog owners." They recommended public education about dogs and dog ownership.
And....
The trial court noted that all the animal behaviorists from both parties testified that a pit bull, trained and properly socialized like other dogs, would not exhibit any more dangerous characteristics than any other breed of dog. After considering all the evidence before it, the trial court agreed, finding that pit bulls, as a breed, are not more dangerous than other breeds."
ANY dog in the wrong hands can be dangerous.....cars in the wrong hands can be dangerous...bloody scissors in the wrong hands are dangerous.....
If the Uk,which last time I checked is where I live...believed my breeds of dog to be dangerous would they not be banned?Would they not be on the DD act? They are not legally required to be muzzled in public.
And tbh..this is getting a bit boring now...you believe what you like...:wall: :wall:New Year~New Start!!
