What about working in a school? Kitchen staff get £5.78 an hour. Non teaching staff get around the £6.50 at level 1.

If my memory serves me right if you are employed by Lidl and |Aldi you are classed as self employed so have to pay yr own stamp/tax and no pension benefits.

My neighbour used to work for Asda at Home and they did the sending home thing
If it was quiet they'd turf you out for the day n only pay for the time you came in for- really unreliable wage-wise!

I used to work at Lidl and the wages were above average at the time because you have to remember the codes for all the fruit and veg, plus you have to be able to scan very quickly, and be able to work on your own a lot ( that's why there are mostly long ques in Lidl) However, I worked there about 3 years back and the wage was £5.05. Should be more now. I enjoyed it a lot!

My nephew works for tescos stacking shelf’s at night, gets about £7.00 an hour.

i do the nite shift at asda and i get 7.61 an hour after 10 pm its going up in april by about 20p

I'm at one of the Leicester stores, are you sure it's the Key Colleagues (Supervisors) that get more? In ours only the Stepping Stones colleagues (Manager trainees) get more. I've never known an Asda pay KC's more? Are you a store or depot?

i knw aldi pay well, i used to get £6.40 an hour, plus id get any petrol money if i drove to a store in the same region for a day or so

the pay for lidl may vary from one end of the country to another, it did when i worked at aldi, i got £6.40 at my home store but when i went to do work in other stores they would be advertising for staff starting on like £7.50 an hour

incorrect, i used to work for aldi and i had a pension and tax was payed via pay slip, my brother works for lidl and he has a pension and pays tax from his pay

At M&S you start off on £5.60, then after your training and successful completion of a performance review this goes up to £5.85. Some stores have a 'location premium' in which you get paid a bit extra, usually 28p or 46p an hour more but some of the 'top stores' you can get an extra £1 an hour.
On Sundays, newer staff get time and a half and the same on bank holidays.
Also you get a staff discount, this comes about 2 or 3 weeks after starting work.
