Are you sure they don't include corporate bonds? The document you've linked shows "UK investment grade bonds" in all but the 100% equity fund.

    I stand corrected, thanks.

I must admit the only one I looked at closely was the 100% equities and I wanted to pick my own bond holdings.

It appears that iii do now have Vanguard LifeStrategy available for purchase on their platform but only in a Trading Account and not in an ISA for some strange reason!

Although the funds were able to be viewed on the site last week you could not actually buy them but my Trading Account is now showing a limited range of Vanguard LS funds available for purchase from £20 and at 0% initial commission (so just the 0.22% dilution levy and 0.33% TER to pay). No platform charge or trading cost.

Hot off the press, Vanguard LifeStrategy 20%, 80% and 100% are now available in an Interactive Investor S&S ISA:

Read down the comments on that link and you will see that no-one can actually complete a purchase of Vanguard LS within their ISA - could be a temporary website glitch but it still prevents you buying them online.

I don't expect any platform to be fee free post RDR, so I'm sure we'll all be playing "run around" again.

monevator has updated the page to say that they're not available at iii after all.

Some posts of mine from other topics:

I've had terrible luck with stockpicking. I now intend to invest SOLELY in one of these Life Strategy funds. Is this safe to do??

Seeing as I've only ever bought shares, the graphs have been share price vs time. How do I read this sort of chart?

    http://www.hl.co.uk/funds/fund-disco...ulation/charts

It is percentage versus time... but what does the percentage mean? Does it simply mean that based on an initial sum, say £1000... that if you're 60% in November and December, with no contributions other than the original £1000... your worth is £1600 both in November and December? So if you added more money in November it would not have gained anything by December? Help appreciated!

Further to that, check this out:

I don't understand how the gains on this fund can be so low when the funds it comprises of are doing so well... what am I missing..?

I'm still confused as to how the individual trackers are doing so well but the fund of funds (Life Strategy) doesn't seem to be?

What are you comparing it to?

Try comparing with "UT Mixed Investment 40%-85% Shares" or "Jupiter Merlin Growth Portfolio".or even "Vanguard FTSE Developed World ex UK Equity Index"

Make sure you have the "total return" button pressed.

Can you show us where you are getting the information on the individual trackers and them doing so well? Are you sure you are not reading the percentage held in each tracker as a performance figure?
