Update on tillspits for those that don't use their clubcards much. Still worth using it at least once a week to buy just a tin of tomatoes or something, as I have had another set of conditional spends this week (£3 off £20, £4 off £30, £5 off £40 and £7 off £50) - third week in a row :)

Excellent! Not sure how you manage to get so many though?! Now, I'll just have to see if I can get some till spits! I think going through the manned tills is probably the best way, have never got any WYS off at the SS tills!

My DS's will be pleased to nom the aero lambs from last night :D 3 SA's at the SS's, but let them through no problems and even commented on the price.

I can cope with still being sockless!

Have a very good day one and all.

;) Various family members who don't use their Clubcards - I have the little key fob thingies from their accounts - only use these. Definitely manned tills. And if you do have access to more than one Clubcard and can be arsed, try to keep each one to a separate spend threshold - ie one where you only spend £1 once in a while, one where you spend say £10 a week, whatever. The tillspits generated are designed to hit a threshold just above your current spending level - to encourage you to spend more ....
  • :o I think I may have found someone's stash they were hidden at the back of other socks at In$hes shame they are only size 6-8, guess I will have warm feet rather than biggest kid :rotfl:He's phoning childline as we speak!

Ah well if someone was daft enough to leave them! ;) I was in that store in the afternoon as well   was in a mega rush though so didn't have time to rumage properly, glad you found some though :D

    Morning all :)

Wet and miserable looking here, was going to say I don't think we'll be going far this morning, but just remembered it's take 2 with the dentist today after getting there last week and being told to come back this week! *sigh*

Hope everyone has a fabby day :D:cool:

I'm off to rumage in the drawers, I'm sure I've got some old Clubcards lurking in there somewhere! If they haven't been used in ages are they likely to give you some kind of conditional spend? TIA :) It's something that I don't think I've ever had! Maybe I need to stop using it so much :rotfl:

I don't think it kicks in straight away - I started using 2 old ones again recently and the first say 2 or 3 shops didn't get anything, then it started up. Regular consistent spenders do not get nearly as many tillspits - they already have your custom so don't need to give you any incentive to keep returning/spend in their stores. They are mainly targetted at peeps they want to pull in, not existing good customers. Which is very very wrong from a CS perspective, just hard-nosed marketing.

Good morning all! Haven't popped in for a couple of days, after behaving itself for the last few years one of my knees is playing up big time and it's agony every time I move, so everything takes three times as long as usual. Very frustrating, and no Mr Ts for me at the minute. Maybe I'll get some till spits though :D - interesting info above, RootedNomad.

I also need to thank you and MMW - have just seen the redspottedhanky code on the Grabbit board. :)

Off to catch up - have I missed much?
    Hope is not a strategy.

Happy birthday to those celebrating yesterday/today.
No Easter choc at all for me:(
Managed a few pairs of socks but gave the large ones to a friend as my family all have small feet.

I have 64 pairs bagged up ready to be taken to the homeless hostel, should I wear protective clothing while transporting them?

What a lovely kind thought. They will so appreciate that.
    Hope is not a strategy.
