    SOOOOOOOO agree
We just threatened to leave (and we have been members for over 20 years (god that makes me sound sooo old))
    - but had to do so 2x
They gave us the online renewal price & to cover the quidco deal free homestart - poor CS though don't have enough power to over ride the systems had to go through the manager
It's crackers isn't it? I've just come off the phone and the guy was laughing at me and saying "you've got a good bargain" he he. He would match the £89 online deal but couldn't do the £50 quidco c/b.
look at the comparisons and what they quoted me:

    Online Renewal price
    Roadside £30 £55.48
    Home Start £45 £58.64
    Relay £14 £63.34
    Discount £44.38
    TOTAL £89 £133.09
    Tiger
I'm a body double for Claudia Schiffer and i wont get out of bed for less than [STRIKE]£10k per day[/STRIKE] a 1p find

Just wanted to say hi, been lurking since DTD days. Husbands income dropped by 2/3 and so have found this thread really useful on ways to find bargains and cut our outgoings. I never used to think about what I was spending but circumstances have changed and I am now very careful which I think is a good life lesson. Love reading all your comments, they make me laugh and they make me sad. I think you are all mad - but in a good way. So HI
Hi  I'm very new, but totally addicted. Tried wombling again today with my two year old, it's great, fresh air, free and quality time with my lil one ;)

I feel the same way about the thread! I now pay full price for very little - money is scarce in our family too. I never thought about Christmas shopping in March til I came on here :rotfl: Now I have a present box which is overflowing!
I was young once , now I get older all the time .

You just made me laugh out loud Flandot. I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you because my "present" cupboard is overflowing and I already pretty much know what people are getting. Hampers, personalised treats, home made mini Xmas cakes by moi and pineapple chilli chutney (was that recipe from MMW or nikkilala?)
Not me and I can't remember who it was, maybe Jumblejack?
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

Nope, you're not alone. I've not found any 4p socks. I did find some 1p men's Xmas hankies though. I'd rather have had the socks.

Neither of you are alone, I've not found any yet, sometimes my store gets items 3-4 weeks after they are first spotted. Still ever hopeful and look every day.
