That is SO cool! I guess the H&S brigade will close the road when planes are landing. It is something else totally when a tornado flies so low so close to you. I have seen it many times when driving through Wales. Sadly i didnt get to see any today :(

I live close to an Airbus place with a runway, and we get to see some fab stuff, spitfires doing their display stuff, red arrows taking off 3 at a time, concorde flew right over my house on its final flight, to see the A380 doing low flying is fab.

Every couple of years they have an airshow, last time we had the vulcan flying right down low over my house. I was proper scared for my windows :rotfl:

We live about 3 miles from Farnborough as the crow flies. We sit out in the back garden to watch the red arrows, they turn left over our house :rotfl::rotfl: Once the Stealth flew right over our house really low, everyone at the show was saying how quiet it was but it wasn't when it flew over our house, it was VERY noisy, must be something they switch on to quieten it down.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

hi everyone. no t's today but had good time at toys r us. managed to cause a long queue at the till as offer i had seen in aisle hadn't come off the total. turned out me and parents had managed to find the only tiny bit of advertising in aisle for a buy 1 get 1 half price offer that had expired. no date on the label at all so they gave me the discount and removed the label. it was a very small sticker hanging on a price tag quite low down on shelving:D
going back to catch up on today now

Does anyone know of any good offers on tv's, mine's just blown up. It's a 7 year old plasma so not worth fixing. I've only got £400 for a new one and needs to be minimum 42" because of oh eyesight.
The one we're swinging towards at the moment is Technika 42" 3d tv for £399 with a blue ray player.

does anyone know if I buy it instore can I use a couple of the Tesco £10 off wys £80 till spits
Comet have a 42" Panasonic plasma for £349.
Can't check if its any good as on my phone.
    :(

I used to live near RAF Lakenheath and I'd had a lovely flying lesson whizzing around the spire of Ely cathedral. Was happily pottering back to the base when my instructor suddenly took the controls and said we needed to land fast. Landed safely and got off the main runway just in time as a group of F15s came tearing in to land behind us. Was awesome!

Magicowen - I'm the same. Wind turbines, bridges, even some pylons (:rotfl:) scare me silly! I think it's got something to do with big, imposing structures. I'm happy being up high, looking down. But looking up at things can freak me out. :o
