So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

www.approvedfood.co.uk it sell near date food and and some past their best before date. best before dated food can be sold as the date is to show when the food is at its best. use by dates should never be passed though as there is a safety and health issue.

dan (boss) often does "lucky boxes" where the staff fill up a box with anything left over, and sell them for £1 a box. limited to one per order. though there was cous cous mountain a while back :rotfl:.
thanks for letting me know and giving me the link I think I will go and look at it now.

Hello Lutzi1 and my mymerrywidow, what is approved food, I have never heard of this before

Hi streetlights, Approved Food is a company who sell overstocks/ bankruptcy stocks, OOD sel etc food and drink and one or two other items (approvedfood.co.uk). Some things are approaching or past their sell by date, but plenty of them aren't if that concerns you.

They have some stunning bargains, it's just a matter of what they have in stock at any given time. I've recently been buying bottles of fruit juice for the barbecue season at very reasonable prices, and I've had tremendous bargains in things like olive oil, tins of tuna and sachets of Heinz sauces in the past. Do have a look. Delivery is usually £5.25 for up to 25kg, though they do have free delivery promotions from time to time. :D

Edit: See you beat me to it MMW.
    Hope is not a strategy.

How about this? Or is it still too big? I've resized to 25% of the original.

Hi sis I'm good, how are you? I've been out on lovely walk and just making tea, of course the meat and potatoes are whoopsies. Tragically not the cheapest meal I have made. I'm going to look at approved food have you ever heard of it before.

Afternoon all :) (haven't caught up yet, as I work most weekends, so I have a tesco free period :eek:)

Any who I know some of you wanted to know how to tell when an offer is ending in Sainsbury's a while back.
I know it's super easy to see in Tesco:D:D

Below are some picture taken to help you lovely lot :T

This image below is your normal sainsbury's promotion ticket on the shelf. Highlighting the "great offer";);):p

    scaled.php?server=10&filename=photo217s.jpg&res=landing

Now take a look at it closer, on the red area at the bottom there is three sets of numbers.

    scaled.php?server=407&filename=photo117c.jpg&res=landing

    The third set shows 0467/180412/080512
    Firstly ignore the 0467
The offer started 180412 aka 18th April 2012 and
Ends on the 080512 aka 8th May 2012.

    HTH :):)
