On the downside, the result of my dad's hospital appointment yesterday means that he is likely to lose his job Its picked up a heart condition which will need medication, and a recommendation that he should be under the care of a cardiologist. When his heart rate shoots up under stress, he goes into ventricular tachycardia. I feel so helpless that I cant do anything. He's 63 so its not going to be easy for him to find another job at that age Hopefully the medication they've recommended will make a difference for him but the DVLA probably arent going to see it that way. I told him that he neednt worry about it until he goes back to work next week, and to have a chat with his gp and see what he says about it all.

Its sooooo nice having the house and car to myself. Might have to get rid of Misery Guts more often :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

i'm feeling sorry for your Dad as this can be quite a frightening condition, especially when they feel the palpitations, the good thing now is that it has been diagnosed and can be treated and monitored by the specialist. The condition is quite common actually and many people go on to lead normal lifes once treated. so keep your chin up and know that your Dad is in good hands. take care hun your a wee trooper xxx
