bensonsmum wrote: »I know - Benson was my third rottie and we absolutely loved him to death, as my now OH and i could not have children together, (not through lack of trying - i might add) we decided to get a beautiful rottie puppy, and from that day on i became known as Bensonsmum. He was my best friend ever, and i still miss him so much - even writing this has me blubbering. No matter what did or did not happen he was my one true constant in my life and always there for me. Sadly he died whilst we were on holiday in Mexico - very strange really as OH and i were in bed asleep on the saturday night and OH woke up with a start waking me up in the process, saying there is something wrong with Benson - i have just had a dream and he said goodbye to me!!!! im sure there is something wrong. I told him not to be so daft and to go back to sleep. We flew home on the monday and as soon as we landed went straight to the kennels to get him to be told he had died early sunday morning and taking the time difference into account this was the time that my OH had dreamed that Benson had said goodbye !!!
Benson was 11 nearly 12 when he died and had been an insulin dependent diabetic for over 2 years before he died. We both still feel guilty now for leaving him and going on holiday with out him, but have since been told by our vet on numerous occasions that when he was first diagnosed as being diabetic he didn't think Benson would last even 6 months let alone 2 years - so we should have felt proud of ourselves, Proud is something i have never felt in this situation, but privileged to have been part of Bensons life - yes very much so:):)
I got goosebumps reading that :grouphug::j:j :j:j0 -

barbara6812 wrote: »Hi, are you ground floor? We had something similar to this last year. It turned out the drains ( main one) outside had been blocked and basically the water was rising. It didn't smell disgusting (poo like etc) just mouldy. we found out buy a fluke chance of lifting the storm drain thingy outside and the water was right up. Apparently it was a good job we checked as were only 2 houses linked to the main sewer pass so could have gone unnoticed for ages and done damage. Sorry for rambling. worth a check just in case.
I am on the ground floor yes. ThanksI will check this out.. As hard as it is to tell where the smell is coming from, It always did seem like it was coming from the floor..

Hi all, just back from mr t's. No bounty ice creams, no magnums, no cheapo cornetto thingys, no preserves, no socks, mars with correct b/c scanned at £2.25 BUT did manage some 20p marshmallows, some 25p haribo springtime jellies, some Florida sour nuggets RTC in world foods aisle from £2.xx to 81p for a multipack, some whoopsied bread for the freezer and some whoopsied Chinese chicken thighs for tea.
Ps the Florida nuggets really are sour and the packets have 6x17g so they are only tiny but sour enough to hurt your Tongue!! Prob best not to give them to kids! They are nut free gluten free and gelatine free tho in case anyone needs that info. If I remember correctly Lindos90 liked the sour maoam's - think these would be up your street!To infinity and beyond - but mostly to Tesco!:D0 -
