So glad I just wizzed through my junk mail, I normally just empty it, but there was an email from 'the insiders' - turns out it's not junk and is from the Purina One challenge - I entered this ages ago for purina cat biscuits and just been accepted, so some free cats biscuits on the way! Number 2 cat prefers biscuits to pouches - would be handy if they did magpie flavour. The magpies are giving him major grief - we have a holly tree between us and next door and Riley likes to sit on next door's shed roof, which is under the holly tree. The magpies have just been hounding him and he is hiding out up the tree at the moment. Will have to go and rescue him again.

I have heard that they can make a cat's life hell and I wouldn't have believed it, until now. Shifted them with the hosepipe this morning but then the cat legged it too!

Any suggestions anyone please - I have a few of my own like machine gunning them (only joking), but any sensible suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Having a bit of a ****** (can't even remember the word for it) :o:rotfl: The £10 off £80, does it come off before or after bogofs etc?

    You're having a BLONDE MOMENT.

No offence intended to blondes, natural or bottled.

But they do make for some good jokes, like ...
    A BLONDE POLICE STOP

A blonde was speeding in a 35 mile per hour zone when a local police officer pulled her over and walked up to the car. The officer also happened to be a blonde and she asked for the blonde's driver's license. The driver searched frantically in her purse for a while and finally said to the blonde policewoman, "What does a driver's license look like?" Irritated, the blonde cop said, "You dummy, it's got your picture on it!" The blonde driver frantically searched her purse again and found a small, rectangular mirror down at the bottom. She held it up to her face and said, "Aha! This must be my driver's license" and handed it to the blonde policewoman. The blonde cop looked in the mirror, handed it back to the driver and said, "You're free to go. And, if I had known you were a police officer too, we could have avoided all of this."
I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.

I was also a little confused by the reaction to bcw123s post. Now I'm intrigued, whats the backstory?
Hi the back story very complicated but I will try to explain I put a post in without ebreviating the town name i.e Purley instead of P.r.l.y so that members would not have a wasted journey. According to T.H. I have commited a big sin.

Just popped in quickly to say I'm still around, just caught up & I wasn't hiding because we let Chelsea beat us 6 - 1 , big family crisis at the moment so I've been up & down the motorways a couple of times in the past few days in the torrential rain & I'm exhausted, still not got my gluten free, wheat free, egg free, milk free diet sorted out so starving hungry all the time :( .

Lala & Nannylala are taking me on a roadtrip tonight to cheer me up I'm looking forward to it even if we don't find anything we'll have a laugh

I have a friend that is on that sort of diet, she found some nice rice noodles, I think from Holland & Barratt and uses some Lloyd Grossman sauces (can't recall which ones!), and she says the gluten free sausages from M&S and from our Mr T are quite nice. You will get used to it, she was on the phone to me in tears the first time she found out how she had to restrict her diet. On the upside, this resulted in her loosing masses of weight, feeling a million times better, and another thing I don't think you'll have problems with - she got pregnant at 46! Accidentally but happily! It does get better and before she got pregnant she was beginning to be able to reintroduce a few things to her diet, that was 2/3 years after it all started.

Good news from my side, my OH had is long awaited operation today, just spoke to him and he is feeling fine and it seemed to go well. He is in recovery overnight as they have to keep an eye on the muscle flap they transplanted from his other leg, but it is looking good so far, fingers very tightly crossed! :T

You're right, I havent had any direct experiences with him and I couldn't remember seeing any altercations before now

So in the interests of seeing where you are both coming from I have just skim-read all 156 posts he's made since joining to see what I might have missed. I'm sorry but I still can't see anything that would justify the reaction that I saw earlier

Did you all just take offence because he said a couple of times that the chat takes up a lot of the thread and makes it difficult for some people with limited time to keep up? Or because he singled out HC a couple of times as being a blether whose posts he skips?
Neither statement justifies being called grating, thick, stupid or a fool. If i have missed anything or an offending post was edited/removed then please let me know and I'll shut up (even contact me by PM if you prefer to take this chat off the main thread or because whatever he did is unmentionable)

I'm really intrigued to learn what I've missed now

I wish I knew as well
