Interesting post here...apparently the 25% has been taken off the tills, so potential DTD on wine.....

Have all you wine lovers seen the thread on possible DTD on 6 bottles of wine, tonight only? ~Interesting to see if a one off?

there was a post on pts saying SA's in their store were busy taking down all the signs early ..... If the signs are still up in any stores (including the banners in the carpark/on the way into the store that they often forget :D) then I would say it is a great opportunity for DTD.
  • when you first get there it will give you the option to start or im using my own bags, if you touch that it will tell you to place bags in bagging area then press done. you then start shopping
even if you havent at the end before you pay there is another channce to touch the own bags used part of the touchscreen, its on the payment type coupons used etc page/screen
touch own bags used it will then give you the option to say how many just touch number3, it will say in a loud voice something like your green points are now being added. ive had a small amount of shopping in t's spindly carriers as its shouted that out but no one has ever come over to take the points off me. (i do normally used the sturdy reusable bags)
    HTH

I quickly pay and leg it :D but seriously there's so much noise on a busy day it just blends in. No one notices and has ever said anything to me :T:T

    :hello:Evening lovelies

Hope you're all well and had a nice start to the week. I've had a crazy day, racing around doing bits and pieces.

Couldn't get in with the dentist so phoned docs instead, couldn't get an app with my GP  (as usual!) but got an app with the on call....waited 45 mins and was in there all of 2 secs to be told she couldn't help at all, it was a dentist matter! Which yes don't get me wrong, I know, but I was atleast hoping for her to look and be sympathetic! Anyway I went to the dentist on the way home and suddenly there were 2 apps available Friday morning  which I'd not been offered earlier while I was on the phone for 20 mins! But atleast I got somewhere in the end and will know on Friday what it is and what to do. In the meantime I shall keep going with antibiotics and painkillers, luckily it is much better than it was but as I said yesterday I don't want to tempt fait by saying too much! :o:(

Caught the bus to Mr S for Palmolive :D Does anyone else do the same as me and not realise just how good something is til they've tried it?? :o I didn't actually get the draw to Mr S until today and now I can't BELIEVE I didn't make the most of free shopping!:pMind you I was knackered when I got back with 16 Palmolives and a bag of shopping in tow!! Someone had cleared out the 83p one :( but there was plenty of the 87p ones :T:j Total spend = £1.27 :D

Picked up my Union Jack suitcase at T's click and collect :T It's nice but I'm not as keen as I'd hoped. It's very functional but I am sooooo fussy when it comes to appearance :o:o:o:p:cool::rotfl:

Meant to do an £80 shop while I was in there built mainly of the £15 24pk Stella (not for me I hasten to add....I'm a layyyydeeeee :rotfl:) But I found an even better deal, not sure if it's been mentioned yet....

    Carlsberg Export 18 x 440ml cans = £10 (til 7/05)

And then I've just been down to A's for a few whoopsies :TFew bits and pieces, pasta salads and suchlike for 10p each and another 6 Palmolives :o Was p'ing myself because of my trouting yesterday in the same store and being told the coupons were for 28p (as Palmolive is £1.28) but I'd bought them a few times in there before and all other SA's agreed the coupons were for £1 off. Well she was only there again *panic stations*:(:( But luckily so was a kind SA that had put them through for me before ;) So as soon as she went out the back I dived onto the SS tills! :rotfl:P'ing myself the entire time. Well a sandwich scanned at full price so it was about £2 more than I was expecting to pay but I stuck my money in the slot pronto and will keep the packaging and get my refund in a few days, maybe another store :p:o

Hope everyone has been Palmoliving today

Right then off to catch up :A

Aye they don't make it easy for us to be MSE here in the [STRIKE]ars[/STRIKE] backside of nowhere :rotfl:
Can't even get a cheap beer or bottles of wine to console ourselves with either! Think I'm going to emigrate to England ;) :rotfl::rotfl:

Tell me about it. I live in a village where my nearest normal T's is about 15 miles away. Fortunately I've got a sainsbury's a couple of miles away which is due to be demolished and a massive 70,000 sq ft one built to replace it.....It will probably be a couple of years before it's done but will then be the biggest in the westcountry....can't wait :j
A hundred yards down the road from that is the old Focus which is currently in the process of being converted into an Asda. This will probably be done within a couple of months or so, but it's not going to be a very big store.
With 2 Morrisons to choose from within 3 miles or so it's just a case of waiting for the big T's to be built at Torquay if they ever get planning and a smaller Superstore in Brixham for which they are currently finalising the details.
We will then have been brought kicking and screaming into the 21st century.
Now if only they could upgrade the telephone system in this village so we could get decent broadband speeds!!!
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
  • got to Sainsburys and someone has already cleared the shelves of handwashes.:(:(

i bought some chopped tomatoes and told the sa i want to try scanning my coupons to see if they'll scan. he probably think i am mad. Told me that i dont have the products etc, and my response was that i know, but i have been having trouble with my printer and i just want to know which setting to use when i print coupons in the future...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: only one setting scanned and thats grey scale, high quality print, high quality paper. :T:T:T now that i know I can save myself a lot of embarassment with coupons not scanning at tills:):)

and i bumped into a friend from my uni days while trying to scan my coupons :o:o (wished the ground would open up and swallow me whole!!) I've not seen her for years and am really surprised that she remembers me.

no socks and no jam for me...
