  • Hello me hearties.....Great day for the Cap'n with the wind at me back and the spray in the air.....makes me feel good to be alive.

I understand some of you landlubbers are having to deal with something called a hosepipe ban? and there are areas with a drought, yea should spend more time on the waves where there's never a drought but occasional lack of wind to fill me sails makes the Cap'n unhappy.

Anyway I'm glad to see some of yea have managed to find the orange juice glitch to prevent yon scurvy, arrrr tis good to make sure you have plenty of Vitamin C in this chilling weather.

Anyway to those of you landbound I'll leave you with this question......if your having to deal with a drought surely it's a torrential drought?

    Anchors away.........

also in a store the other day the had a crate with label saying 1p finds in there was a kenwood toaster 2 slice silver, was unboxed so no idea of model,
a kettle white plastic with blue marking on it could see the make /model but may be worth the browse.
also a 02 home broadband takeaway setup this was a slim long box in white with blue & black writing no b/c.
just what i could see from looking.

    Hello all!

I had to do extreme freezer tetris today when I got back with 8  boxes of chocabloks :j and 3 mccain rustic chips and had to get some half price Haagen Dazs too...forgot the freezer was nearly full lol! Out went a few old whoopsied loaves that had been there since I got the freezer probably and my chocabloks are safe. They are SOOOO nice aren't they, much nicer than Magnums I think.

I also had a  womble moment today when I had to pull one out from between the trollies by the entrance.Only trouble was, the RAC man that stands by the door trying to flog breakdown cover was gawping right at me.I smiled at him and walked off round the corner for more wombling. When I came back a few minutes later he was talking to a trolley man and pointing and laughing at me!:eek::eek::eek::eek: The shame!

And wombling  moment number two, a cautionary tale - be VERY careful when wombling in your local T's on a Saturday afternoon, the odds of bumping into someone you know are far too high...I nearly crashed into a work colleague today as I was too busy looking at the floor for wombles, a minute later and he would have seen me pick one up...noooo!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi everyone..

    What a vile day weather-wise.
Our shower switch has gone kaput so have just been to B&Q to fetch a new one. Whilst there I [STRIKE]pinched[/STRIKE] got some nice wallpaper samples so am going to spend the afternoon covering some canvasses with them.
A friend of mine did it and it looked really effective.
Am going to try making some to match the decor in the lounge, and if I'm pleased with the results I'm going to get some samples of the Laurence Llewelly Bowen flocked £25 a roll stuff and do a couple for the bedroom!!

    Very MSE I thought :)

can you post some pics purdy- I am loving that idea!:)

Hi thanks but none in my local with that barcode only ones with 11 in pack.
Went to S's after manged to relieve them of 21 Palmolive. To bump up over £2 (2 at a time) I bought a pack of Philips light bulbs sel @ 10p (must be getting rid od these) & a tin of sweetcorn 23p so 10p to pay!:T:T
Also got last 3 Cravendale :j:j
Picked up another big handful of receipts out of the bin at ss till in T's last night so hoping for another few good jtd's. Is there another name if you clear the bins of receipts or is it still called 'wombling'? :p

Hope all keeping warm & cosy on this miserable rainy day.
