I've not actually looked for any and don't own the old purple ones anymore. Perhaps I should go get a few just in case the odd photoshoot requires them??? :rotfl:

You could go for a change of colour, can pop some red ones in the post. :rotfl:

    Small/medium or Medium/large??? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

hi everyone, hope you all had a good day. we had fun at the farm with the playgroup this morning. afterwards went to T's and found one 4p dressing gown:j and a shelf full of the chocolate scanning at 24p (this was about 2pm), only just got home now from exercise classes so couldn't post earlier. Was a bit worried they would take the dressing gown off me as i went through a normal till with that and 5 of each variety of the glitching chocolate, the dressing gown had a security tag on it. Guy on till didn't bat an eyelid at any of it. off to catch up on todays posts now to see what i have missed:)

I bought 6 x 4p dressing gowns today at a store new to me that had 3 manned tills only 1 working & no SS tills, so no choice who I went to, 1 pair of girls tights & a few pairs of childrens sunglasses 6 dressing gowns total 98p the assistant didn't bat & eyelid she was chatting on some sort of headset no idea who to.

Then the alarm went off as I was leaving & myself & C.S. spent the next 10mins searching the dressing gowns for the hidden security tags :rotfl:There are times I can be as cool as a cucumber this was one of them.

Shame there were no scanners Nikkilala, Nannylala & myself could spend a day in there scanning, small store mainly clothes.

Off now to bed, early start up the motorway due to family emergency tomorrow

I bought 4 boxes of chokabloks and put them through the ss till, when I scanned the moc it said please ask for assistance :eek:

Luckily the sa didn't check anything and just authorised it.

    Evening all :D

Haven't been on for more than a few minutes at a time in the last couple of days and have now given up hope of trying to catch up! Just read back a few pages.

COT - In my experience, the SS tills let you put through up to 2 vouchers of £1 or less, anything more flags up to be authorised, so best to put these into a larger shop ;)

I heard about the choccie glitch last night and (stupidly!) thought I'd leave it until today as I was tired. Tried in three stores and only managed 4 packs of Mars bars. Would have loved the Galaxys or Snickers but never mind - there's always next time ;)

I found three packs of Dormens Spicy Peanuts on a clipstrip so put those in my basket - they went through at £1.01  so I asked the checkout op to remove them as they were too expensive :o

I also found a clipstrip of the veggie crisps that were glitching a few months back. They are still going through at 1p :D (first time I have found these and they are yummy )

Also found some pretty gift bags with spots and stripes on RTC at 18p each (from 75p). They have a sticker on which says something like 'perfect for perfume'.

Not many receipts about to womble though - all this rain is hampering my efforts, and I'm fed up with picking up £10 off £80 spends :( I did have a good result back on one of my wombles though - £7.50 :T

Is there anything else to look out for at the moment?
  • Was quite pleased today. went to asda and got a shop of £28 down to 32p :)

And when the house is empty I try it on :D The house is empty now :D:D:D

Beautiful dress Leenie, I would be so proud of my Mum dressing in such a beautiful and sophisticated outfit for my (hypothetical:o) wedding :A

Everything sounds wonderful and I'm so glad to hear you've been making great progress with the plans. Wow only 4 weeks, not long now. I'm another that cannot wait to see some pics.

And Toni if you're reading too :A I hope you're enjoying the run up to the big day and pregnancy is treating you well :A
Cheers dude, saves me wasting petrol going out to look. NailC was empty this morning as well

Mum tried again anyway but you're right, she said there wasn't a space on the shelf even so perhaps staff removal as opposed to lurkers. Regardless, seems like the Bristolians were hit hardest by the great chocolate drought of 2012! :p Except our very own Scamps who ventured across the country in his quest for cheap choccies! ;):rotfl:Onwards and upwards to the next one :D
Was quite pleased today. went to asda and got a shop of £28 down to 32p :)

Brill shop FK :T Have you located your mojo yet? :A

    dizzyditzy+magicowen - :AThank you xx

magicowen, snap+fourp - Hope you all have a fabulous weekend away (not together:p) and there's an upturn in the weather :)

Nikki+Nannylala - Sounds like you had a wonderful day. Nannylala gives great retail therapy advice :AEnjoy the shoes Nikki :j

    3dogs - :A

McCain chunky home fries £1 in M's (so 50p with MOC) - Just a wee word of caution....when they say chunky, they really do mean CHUNKY! They're huge!

Also the 100% extra free kitkat packs are £1 in M's too :T (Only 4 finger ones, the chunky are £1.59)

Only popped to A's tonight....got 4 x 4pts 1% milk for 11p each and 3 more Palmolive :D Was only when I got to SS that I realised I should have checked my APG's first. Out of the 2 I had left, one was for 43p :rotfl:So 1p for 16pints of milk and 3 Palmolives. My fav SA was on reductions so I gave her a pile of Palmolive vouchers and explained the situation with them. She's always so lovely so was nice to give something back :)

Yesterday there was a dear little old lady looking at Tetley teabags and she was calculating the best value for money :TBut she only noticed the 80pk and 240pk (80pk better value:eek::mad:) She picked up 3 x 80pk so I ran after her with a 160pk and she was so greatful :D She then proceeded to tell me about how she'd worked out the cheapest deal on tins of salmon and fruit cocktail. Makes me grin just thinking about it :D

rhosynbach - Your story is fab :T:rotfl:

Completely agree about the uselessness of £10 off £80

    HC - :(:(:(:A

Sorry I know I'm missing lots out :( Hope everyone else is ok :Axxx

ETA: Knew I'd forget some things: -

Purdy and Celebrate and anyone else that did the round trip only to find empty shelves :(:(:( booooooooooo!! Fingers crossed for next time :D

and Miro thank you very much for sharing about your fab finds in Dwell, looking forward to 'spending' mine ;)

There was a bloke in Budapest who did that and made no secret of it either - albeit he was rather drunk. And a Bolivian women who was just walking along and all of a sudden assumed the squat position....:eek:

I still have nightmares about Japanese toilets

    Good morning Elite :)
