You are talking rubbish. T-Mobile and Virgin have different MNC's. Virgin is a virtual network on T-Mobile infrastructure. Suggest that you do some research into this subject of handset locking. i.e. to unlock a handset locked to Virgin, a different code is required to that required to unlock the same handset if locked to T-Mobile. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

if the unlocking process goes wrong (unlikely!), it could damage the phones software0 -

There is no need for insults, you are not right all the time,(nobody is), I stand by my post #8, I have done it and am using both phones with Virgin and T-Mobile sims, both locked to the 2 individual networks, so despite what you say I know it works!Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

Virgin use the T-Mobile network, so the answer to your question is,yes,
saying I am talking rubbish then in your post #14 you admit that quote is trueDon`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Hi Guys!
I am now the proud owner of a Samsung E900 ,sold to me on T-mobile but now working perfectly with my Virgin sim.The guy in Phones4u checked it worked in the shop.
Only downside was we had to buy £20 airtime on the t-mobile sim.....so off to e-bay now!:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -

What are you going on about?
In post #10:dotchas wrote:Expresso,

And I said:espresso wrote:Yes as per post #5
However, more than one type of lock can be applied to a handset. T-Mobile handsets are locked to MCC+MNC (Lock 1) meaning that a Virgin SIM will indeed work fine. Virgin handsets can have a second lock applied which prevents a T-Mobile SIM working in a Virgin locked handset, similar to what gaming_guy pointed out in post #6:gaming_guy wrote:just like tesco sims will work in o2 handsets, but o2 sims wont work in tesco handsets
Therefore your statement in post #3:derrick wrote:Virgin use the T-Mobile network, so Virgin sims will work on T-Mobile and vice versa, locked or not.
is not factually correct and cannot be guaranteed to work both ways.
Not all Virgin handsets are actually locked, even when supplied from directly from Virgin and some retail stores supply unlocked GSM stock or could supply a T-Mobile locked handset with a Virgin SIM fitted.
As I said previously, if you actually did some research on this subject you may could learn more about this topic, rather than simply arguing your point. Believe what you want, however posting inaccurate information is not very helpful to others!
