Lloyds Tsb Debit card

Hey so just to clarify a Llloyds TSB Debit card starting 492181 - is that an offline card ?
Mine was just issued without contactless and am trying to get them to re-issue me one with contactless but wondering if they do it by the BIN or not and if not how would I tell as Lloyds customer services don't have the foggiest as to what an online or offline debit card is.
If I have one issued with contactless will that be a sign that it is offline ?
Thanks

All debt cards work online and at POS.
Why you getting all worked up about this debt card.
I doubt you will hardly ever use contactless.0 -
Is that a double negative, pcombo? "doubt you will hardly ever", are you saying it's really that popular?
To me, contactless is completely useless in every shop I've visited. They either accept contactless but the transactions are rarely, if ever, under £15.01, or the staff look at your blank when your place your card on the reader (but know exactly what to do if you insert your card into the reader), or the minimum payment is something like £10 meaning there is little point.
I noticed the local greggs now have contactless machines, so I tried to buy lunch using it today, only to be told it wasn't enough to be able to pay by card. Used a £5 note instead only to be given a weird look by the cashier (the kind of "If you had cash why didn't you just pay with it" kinda look)0 -

I dont get what you mean, i just said i doubt you will hardly ever use contactless in the sense that its only max of £15 transaction and hardly anywhere has it.0 -

If you have a classic account you can have contactless. I have one. You might have to ring a few times to get it sorted though.0

I have contactless Barclays debit card and the only place that had the contactless machine was macdonalds, it's stupid, it's pointless and a waste of money on the banks side.0
