BTW, has everyone raised O2 support calls about this. O2 claim that only I have raised an issue on this.

No I'm done with complaining to ISPs. Done it loads of times over the years to various ISP's foreign call centres and getting no where. I tend to just vote with my feet these days.

MSE was not loading via O2 LLU Broadband last night and still isn't this morning. I'm having to use my iPhone hotspot.
I have the same issue with BE. The 'fix' I'm using right now is to use Opera (with Turbo Mode enabled). The data has to then go via Opera's servers, so takes a different route (which for this site at least) appears (for me) to work.

Well whatever O2's faults, they've got chat and easily to register here:

I had a online 'chat' with an o2 Guru yesterday evening. I complained extensively and I was told that a 'Master Case' has been raised so that they can link the customer accounts facing the same issue.

Today, browsing seems far better although the tracert command to lloydstsb.com is nearly all timeouts and others are not much better.

yeah o2 broadband is rubbish i regret taking out a 12 month contract with them last christmas.

Whenever I type in known website address i get the error page, and then I have to refresh 3-4 times to get the website to load. Heaven knowns how many times I've landed on a page to receive the server not found page and then not bothered to retry.

Well I guess next christmas I'm going to get a very nice present, when I switch over.

I beleive the problem lies with o2's dns service (the bit that goes out and finds the server location of websites),

You can change the dns to point to opendns settings, google info on how to change dns for your computer. The dns addresses are listed here.

I did a contract extension in March 2011 for a discount in the increased prices then. Now back to the new price for the legacy package.

    Or use Google's DNS servers.

ah...this is why i was having problems connecting to MSE for the last 2 days!

Switching to Sky today and will see if there is an improvement, O2's broadband service has been slowly getting worse (for me).
